I dont seem to be having any issue with Virgins DNS servers, just the Farnell site is very busy and timing out.
Odd, mine wouldn't even attempt to ping, just kicked back with computer says no :/

Farnell are now sold out of Raspberry Pis. RS want you to express interest; they'll start sending out to those on that list at end of week.
Looks like I might have been lucky!
Your Farnell Order Confirmation
Stock is now allocated to your order
edit: unless they mean stock which is due in! who knows
Yeah, thats from an email.Did they email you that? i haven't had any confirmation, but shows in my account.
This isn't the fault of RS or Farnell. Raspberry Pi screwed up by (a) adopting a 'first come first served' and (b) choosing distributors with limited capacity.
It would have been far simpler and more effectively to just collect 'pre-orders' over a week or two, then run a lottery to pick the first 10,000. If for some crazy reason they thought first come first served was the best approach they should have just used Amazon or eBay (fixed price) where capacity wouldn't have been an issue. The fees could have been added to the price transparently.
Worst product launch ever
My Farnell order went through, the site was running quite smooth at one point.
