I'd say the seller is making ~£22 per unit. The fact that there's a picture of it in the listing makes me doubt it, it's obviously not the real product.. because they wouldn't have it yet and I wonder if the listing could be removed on a technicality.

Either way, 27 people are incredibly bloody stupid.

They should have gone on eBay anyway. Known the world over and they probably could cope with the traffic too. Shame on the people selling them for £50 on the bay, they wouldn't even have them unless they are staff at the two distributors pilfering stock

Gave up at 6:50, had a shower and came to work.

As they're no longer doing them in batches, it should be easier to buy once production get into full swing.

Not fussed!

On RS wait list since 6.03AM, when it's available they will email me. Not bothered now TBH, RS is smart though! look what happened to Farnell .... Get sign up from people on a static page then get in touch with them.

Also what happened to "1 per customer" this doesn't make sense one bit, if it's 10K units, half to RS, half to farnell then surely someone could buy from both sites? (NOT THAT IT HAPPENED), just not sure what was meant by the broad statement of "1 per customer" on there homepage.

Farnell is back up now. Got an email in my Junk folder that I've just seen, estimated delivery 12 March, however I don't think they really know and it will come any time in the next month!

After 2 hours of trying to get all the way through the ordering process I managed it!

I've since received the "stock allocated to your order" email and another giving an ETA of week commencing 12/03/2012.... I shall sit and wait....

Managed to place an order about an hour ago (11:30) with Farnell, just had the stock allocation email with an estimated delivery of week commencing 16/04/2012

Also what happened to "1 per customer" this doesn't make sense one bit...
It's clear that a lot of Raspberry Pi Foundation's plans have gone out the window, what about accepting payment by PayPal?

I guess this is what happens when a bunch of academics step outside their area of experience.

Why is everyone so angry about this? It's a charity, creating a device to help school children learn to program. The people running this re-mortgaged their houses to get the initial run manufactured and yet people are moaning that they didn't produce enough of them?!

The demand for this amazing little computer has been above and beyond what any small team/charity could ever hope to cope with from a standing start. While they may have been able to make some better choices in how to launch it I really think the venom and anger being shown by a lot of people is way out of proportion.

I'll be coming back in a couple of days/weeks and ordering mine. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute something back to the community which will spring up around the device either through tutorials or documentation.

This. I'll wait a week or two and order one.
