bledd, got mine at 23:30. Hopefully we'll be able to order sometime next week. :)

Can't understand what's gone on with the supplies here. Either the Raspberry Pi people have massively underestimated the demand there would be for the boards or the media have hyped the product so much that even people who won't know what to do with the boards are buying them.

I think thats the case, everyone is buying them.

Yip got my RS email last night.

Still pretty sure it's going to be near summer before I actually get my hands on one.

Got my order in on day 1 with Farnell (around 11:30am). Was told by the twitter account that I'm in batch one judging by my estimated despatch of WC 16/04/2012. Emailed the sales department on Thursday for confirmation but no reply as yet. No email from RS yet despite registering interest on day 1 too.

Got my RS email on the 1st so fingers crossed I get one of the first batch.

Edit Forgot to add I have one on order from farnell... but 58 days lead time...

Ah, well. Gives us time to source all the accessories to run the board. I'm on the lookout for a Bluetooth dongle with Linux driver), wireless dongle (also with Linux drivers), micro-B USB cable and just waiting for news on price and availability of that case linked to around here somewhere. :)

I need to find a USB RF adapter and remote that works well with linux and XBMC (can't stand infrared)

To be perfectly honest, that's why I'm getting mine :D
Haha, I would have thought you of all people would have some good ideas on how to use them. We might use some at the school I work at for some basic programming. I've also thought about getting an external DVD drive and using the whole package as a cheap, compact DVD player as we're short of those. Considering we'd need a keyboard and mouse to login to the system that seems a bit of a long-winded solution to the problem.

I'm short of ideas for using it at home thus far. I'll know more when I actually get one and can see better what I could do with it. :)

I'm right there with you! :D  (But I like tinkering, so that's OK!).

Raspberry PI : "Commercial success, education failure" ? lol.

I'll defo be looking for a Linux install and heatsinks on mine :D

Well yeah, mine may even end up as a fileserver or HTPC for the kitchen. Looking forward to playing with it

Just got a email through from Farnell and ordered :)

Lead time 58 days :(

I just received the email as well and I have placed an order. Do they take the money when the order is placed or when the item is dispatched?
