I want one! Shall run a submersible tank for exploring flooded mine shafts.

Mk1 was just a camera, compass and lights straight down a 100ft shaft, worked well, and got some good video of a side shaft which we want to explore, hence the need for a tank!

This will run this perfectly, hopefully recording 4 x camera, temp sensors, digital compass while transmitting the control commands back down the wire for the tank. Excellent.

Awesome. Find anything interesting?

Awesome. Find anything interesting?

We found a few structures and beams etc, as well as a few abandoned side shafts where they'd tried to follow a seam. Nothing too interesting until we reached the bottom (100ft) and saw a fairly long looking sideshaft, this is where we intend to drive our tank.

All I need to do now is sort out some funding from the mines trust/lottery. I'll do a bit of a build log on here, and either way I'll be building a remote control tank running off a Raspberry Pi!

Got my pre-order in from Farnell, all processed etc, estimated delivery is 30/04/2012 so it would seem the second batch! :(

(Did this on Thursday)

Did anyone order more than 1? Because @ teh checkout it looks like you can alter the qty

Hm swear I didn't see that when I placed my order midday on launch day. Hope I get one :)
You increase your chances of doing so if you managed to put your shirt size in the delivery instructions box when ordering. ;) Get in touch and ask them to add your shirt size to the order, you might be in luck. :)

Done. I think the focus was on "wow, the website is loading, order quick!" on the day.

Cheers :)

Just had an email from RS
