I've just ordered the new Pi from RS, need to get a microSD card sorted as the one in my Pi wont fit! .. Im sure being double the speed it will be a pleasure to use.

Can anyone recommend a cheap, reliable and fast MicroSD card for this?

Same here, arriving tomorrow.

I got a "Samsung UHS-I CLASS 10 32GB SD Micro Card with Adapter"
from the rain forest at £13.29 with prime. 8GB at around eight quid.

Likewise just ordered from RS together with a power supply. I have a wireless dongle and an unused Kingston 32Gb micro SD card class 10. Will see if these work. Also a wireless logitech keyboard and mouse pad which has sat in my car boot unused for almost a year.

This looks to be a well specified micro computer especially for the price.

Should make things interesting! I reckon they'll released this for free for RPi in line with current OS offerings. Fully fledged Windows machine for the price of a Pi, very savvy move by MS if they do this right.

edit - I double checked it wasn't April 1st...

Note: Windows 10 on Pi 2 will be an IoT platform, not a desktop OS.
You'll develop your app in Visual Studio on a Windows PC and deploy it to the Pi.
Raspbian will continue to be the main supported OS.

Yeah, I noticed that after posting.

Hopefully won't be too long until we see a chip that supports H265 natively. And then get that in the Pi3 :)

So pleased I didn't buy the B+ when it came out. This bad boy is exactly the ticket I have been looking for! I will wait for pay day in two weeks. Hopefully a certain rainforest site will have it in stock with all the bits and pieces one needs to get Kodi running. :)

Definitely going to spring for a Pi2... I'm still chugging along with the 256Mb original B here so it'll be a welcome upgrade

I wonder if it would be powerful enough to somehow splice together OpenELEC and Limelight Pi... (Or steam - but I'm not sure any builds exist for it on this platform yet)

Order won't be coming today as they had over 4000 yesterday and are still being processed.

Apparently the cases shown are not compatible and will be removed from site and orders.
