Liverpool

Keepers:
Reina - 8.5 - Best distribution in the prem imo and solid at the back, only thing marking him down is he occasionally gets beaten at the near post, but ill forgive him for all the times he got us out the crapper over the last 3 seasons.
Diego Cav - 5 - Ok as a backup i guess, but Reina never gets injured (Touch wood) so without match practice when we do see him always looks nervous.
Gulacsi - 5 Seems like a good youth prospect, but with Reina being so young i doubt he will stay at the club long enough to play here.

Defence:
Glen J - 7 - Awesome going forward both wide and cutting inside, prone to occasional defensive errors but no where near as bad as the press like to make out.
Kelly - 6 -Been extremely solid in the reserves and the few first team games he's got, considered a CB but is learning his trade as a RB/LB at the moment and thriving. One for the future.
Agger - 8 - Our best defender imo, good powerful shot and a smart head on his shoulders, comfortable on the ball, shame about the injuries though :(
Carra - 6.5 - Best days behind him i fear :( Cant knock his desire or dedication but shown up for pace too often for my liking.
Skrtel - 6 - would have been 7 based on his first season performance, but dropped a lot last season, seems lacking confidence.
Aurelio - 7 - Solid defensivly, good at the other end of the pitch, awesome cross, injured too frequently :( Age wrong side of 30 too.
Insua (Perhaps) - 5 - Awesome going forward, a liability at the back.
Wilson - Unknown - Just signed, seems more then good enough for the Scottish league but it isnt exactly up to much.
Ayala - 5 - Youth prospect but expect him to be sold probably next year with the arrival of Wilson and Kelly playing so well. Blows hot and cold .. awesome some times, poor at others.
Kyrgiakos - 5 - Good at what he does (Standing up to the physicality of Stoke, Blackburn et al ;) ) but probably wont play too many games.

Midfielders
Lucas - 6.5 - Dont think we've seen the best of him tbh, looks much better when asked to play a usual pass and move role rather then the holding player.
Aqualini - 6.5 - Similar to Lucas imo, pass and move player and we rarely played with enough confidence last season to achieve this :( Could see him improve dramatically with a string of games, poor defensively mind
Mascherano - 7 - Amazing at what he does, but limited at doing everything else, and hes probably off anyway!
Gerrard - 7.5 - wrong side of 30 imo and been lacking form, based on his form the seasons before last it would be closer to 9 but, we'll see!
Jova - Unknown - A star in his old league, not played prem opposition enough to make a judgement. Although he played well vs Everton some time back i recall.
Cole - 7.5 - Can only judge him on his Chelsea days, a more selfish version of Benny?
Maxi - 7 - Dont think he has many seasons left in him at the top tbh, wrong side of 30 and all that! But his link up play was top notch last season, has good game intel but lacking the pace of a few years back.
Babel - 3 or 8 - Hes either un-playable or woeful, unfortunatly the 3/10 Babel turns up to 90% of the games he has played in :(
Kuyt (Is he a midfielder now?) - 7 - Another marmite player, i personally love the guy! Quite good at holding up the ball although initial control lets him down. Runs and runs and runs and runs, always gives 100%. Takes a mean penalty (I would rather he took over Gerrard tbh) and always pops up with important goals.

Strikers
Torres - 9 - What is there to say? injury problems :( Bleh. Maybe the new docs can sort it out .. or maybe needs a rest after playing non stop football for years now.
Ngog - 5 - Usually plays really well and does the hard stuff well, then messes up the simple stuff and looks poor.
Pacheco - 6 - A support striker, stand out performer currently internationally at under 19 level, probably a bit too light weight to play upfront in the PL, currently being converted into a wide AM.

Hernandez - 8 - Possibly a touch high but has scored some great goals at the world cup and in pre season, phenomenally quick and has a really good awareness of defenders positions. I can see him tearing up some defences this year.

This is the thng that really worries me......

In a number of crunch games last season, Rooney was flagged offside just because he left the defence for dead so dramatically, yet replays proved he wasnt offside at all.

Hernandez is considerably faster than Rooney (I think Opta or whatever put it at 10 - 15%, although Im not sure how reliable the measuring is so far) - so I can see this happening a lot

I really think he will become a great player - Im just concerned with the bedding in period how long the refs will take to get used to how fast he is (and how many points we will lose in the interim)

Nani - 8.5 - Attitude has come on very well, really working hard at all aspects of his game, especially his tracking back. If he can carry on his form from the end of last season then he can become a crucial player for us.

Very generous indeed :) Undoubtedly he has a little run of matches which are 9's - unfortunately majority of times he comes on its more like 5/6 lol - If he can carry on his form from latter part of last season then absolutely brilliant , after 3 seasons of inconsistancy Im not too hopeful though

Otherwise I think your ratings are about spot on :)

Well, this is going to be easy seeing as there's hardly been any comings and goings at Spurs....

Tottingham Hotspur

Goalkeepers:
Heurelho Gomes - 10 - Absolute legend and the main reason why Spurs are in the Champions League (play-off) this season. If you don't agree, go re-watch Van Persie's free-kick at White Hart Lane from April. Would have given him 11 but he's a terrible kicker.
Carlo Cudicini - 5 - Past his best even before the injury. Hopefully will be replaced by Pletikosa.

Centre-backs:
Younes Kaboul - 6 - Surprisingly solid towards the end of last season. He's a big lad but his positioning worries me.
Sebastien Bassong - 7 - Competent and unfussy. Needs a strong leader with him though.
Michael Dawson - 9 - Gets his head of everything. He's really come on since 'Arry took over. Still has the odd mad moment though.
Ledley King - 8 - Strong, quick, good technique. Would be 10 if he could stay fit but he can't. Both a great asset and a great liability.
Jonathan Woodgate - 2 - Likely to retire through injury. Such a shame.

Full-backs:
Alan Hutton - 5 - Nicknamed the Scottish Cafu north of the border. Can't defend for toffee but full of energy and can put a decent ball into the box.
Gareth Bale - 9 - Full back or winger? Who cares. I expect teams to pay close attention to him next season. Can he rise to the challenge and play a bit more intelligently?
Vedran Corluka - 7 - Nicknamed Heath Mills for the way in which he runs, i.e. not very fast at all. Still, a calm technically gifted player.
Benoit Assou-Ekotto - 7 - Very competent 98% of the time. A penalty waiting to happen for the other 2%.

Midfielders:
David Bentley - 4 - Great right foot, appalling attitude. Isn't a fast runner and always slows down play. He scores some cracking free-kicks though.
Tom Huddlestone - 8 - I wrote him off pre-'Arry. Didn't think he'd ever make it in the Premiership. Too slow. Proved us all wrong by orchestrating victories against Chelsea and Arsenal despite being outnumbered three-to-two in the middle of the park. A great passer of the ball, especially out wide to players like Lennon and Bale.
Aaron Lennon - 9 - If he can stay fit, he'll destroy teams. He's a very intelligent player when he wants to be.
Jermaine Jenas - 3 - His disappearance coinciding with Spurs' greatest season for a long time says it all. Looks world class one game in forty. Looks anonymous for the rest of the time.
Wilson Palacios - 6 - "Gallops around like a man trying to run a hotel on his own". Wasn't on form last season. Too many bad passes and too many free-kicks conceded.
Luka Modric - 9 - For once, a Spurs record signing was worth the money. His quick feet and great vision makes him well-suited to the Premier League despite his small stature. All he needs to add to his game is more goals.
Niko Kranjcar - 8 - Very underrated. Had the best minute to goal attempt creation record of any player in the Premier League last season.
Jamie O'Hara - 6 - He's a very decent player for a lower Premiership team. He'd do well at a club like Fulham or West Ham.
Sandro -? - Yet to see him play so can't pass judgement. A tall defensive midfielder who's captained Brazil's U20 team.

Forwards:
Giovani Dos Santos - 5 - Apparently he likes to party a bit too much. Which is a shame because he's an outstanding player, as proven at the World Cup. Personally, I'd cut our losses while his stock is high though.
Roman Pavlyuchenko - 6 - An enigma. His shots either go into the top corner or into row Z. Looks like a pub footballer at times but then goes through fantastic runs of form.
Robbie Keane - 5 - He'll never recover the kind of form he enjoyed when he partnered Berbatov (ditto for Berbatov himself). It's a sad sight seeing him slowly fade.
Peter Crouch - 7 - Does what he does well. Not exactly a player to strike fear into the heart of opposite defenders though.
Jermain Defoe - 8 - Devastating when on top form. However, his touches per game is ridiculously low so very anonymous when he's not scoring goals.

You seem to struggle with the concept of opinion Gustov.

Hardly, he claims Evra is the best left back in the world, I debate that he's not, it's called a difference in opinion ffs.

What do you want me to do? Put IMO on the end of every sentence I write? How dare I debate on a discussion board eh...

Despite every half decent pundit stating he is. Watch how many times a player takes the ball pass A.Cole. You'll be lucky if you see it more than twice in a whole season.

I personally think Cole is better defensively now than he was at Arsenal, however he is a little bit slower now and just doesn't look as good in attack as he did. That probably makes him a better full back but who knows these days.

Both he and Evra are very very good fullbacks but neither the best in the world. Well maybe they are because there is a lack of absolutely outstanding players. There are a few players who could be considered as good as them, meh whatever. I just feel in the LB position the highest you could give anyone at the moment is 8/10.

Gustov + Anyone saying Chelsea players aren't the best in the known universe - Unhappy Gustov :p

Chelsea

Goalkeepers

Cech- Was up there with Casillias 3/4 years ago. Never been the same seen Hunt went and almost killed him. Had a very good final half of the season last year. 8/10
Hilario - Good shotstopper, wouldn't want to rely on him though. 5/10
Turnball- Put in some really good performances at Middlesbrough, was glad to see him at Chelsea but he's had a somewhat poor pre-season 6/10

Full backs

A.Cole - For me, the best left back in the world bar none 10/10
Y. Zhirkov- Cost us an absolute bomb but doesn't get into the starting line up because of Cole, great player though. 8/10
P.Ferreira - Absolute waste of space 4/10
J.Bosingwa- Was the best right back in the league last year until he picked up an injury, can't wait to have him back fit 9/10
B.Ivanovic- Had an unbelievable season, a very strong and surprisingly fast player. 8/10

Center Backs

J.Terry - Great CB on his day, did a much better job for Chelsea last year than the press made out and has won the league 3 times 8/10
R.Carvalho- Wants to be out of the door but for me one of the best in the business 9/10
Alex Solid, an absolute monster 8/10

Midfielders

Malouda- Has come a very long way since his arrival, had a great season last year and hoping he can improve even more 7/10
F.Lampard- The best attacking midfielder in the history of the premier league 10/10
Mikel- Decent enough holding player, shame he's very inconsistant 7/10
Essien- Best in the world at what he does when at the top of his game 10/10
Kalou Plays more of an attacking role. Not a fan but he is still very young 5/10
Yossi Benayoun Good impact player, hoping he doesn't start games, great ball control 7/10
Deco complete waste of space and passed it 4/10

Strikers

Drogba - A complete handful for defenders, drives me mad with his diving antics but is no doubt the reason why Chelsea have been so dominant in the premier league alongside united 9/10
Anelka- Not a huge fan but gets the goals, his decision making at times baffles me 7/10
Sturridge- Looking very promising and hoping he gets more games this year 7/10

Couldn't disagree more on some of those players Gustov :p

I'm waiting for Stag to turn up and give each Spurs player 10/10 because remember, they have the best squad in the League.

Thanks Alpherah. Been waiting for a Liverpool supporter to post our squad so I could cut and paste to save time :o

I haven't included players that'll probably leave and I've given the players that have had injury problems two ratings, current and potential when fully fit and on form.

Keepers
Cavalieri - ? - Never plays.
Reina - 10 - Bullet proof.

Full Backs
Aurelio - 5/8 - Great defender with an excellent cross and wicked set piece but always injured.
Johnson - 8 - Excellent going forward and more than capable in defence. Suffers from lapses in concentration.
Kelly - ? - Has the potential to be a world class defender.

Central Defenders
Agger - 7.5/9 - Comfortable on the ball, excellent understanding of the game and a sweet strike but plagued by back injuries.
Ayala - ? - As above but struggles under pressure. Future lies back in Spain imo.
Carragher - 7.5 - One of the best defenders in the world at his peak but his best days are behind him.
Skrtel - 7/8.5 - Tough tackling monster of a defender when fit but has struggled with injuries and a loss of form.
Wilson - ? - New signing.

Wingers
Babel - 4 - Great striker of the ball and lightning quick but awful in every other department. Has a small brain and suffers from delusions of grandeur.
Jova - ? - New signing.
Kuyt - 6.5 - Has a knack of scoring important goals but struggles on the ball and offers very little against teams that park the bus.
Maxi - 6 - Retains possession well but doesn't seem to create much.

Central Midfielders
Aqualini - 7/? - Superb vision, excellent passer and a lovely touch but struggles when pressurised. Still adapting to the pace of the English game.
Cole - ? - New signing.
Gerrard - 7/9.5 - Struggled with injuries and form last season and looked like he gave up. On his day he's one of the best midfielders in the world but needs to prove last season wasn't the beginning of the end.
Lucas - 7.5 - Great range of passing, reads the game well and always gives 100%. Needs to improve tackling.
Pacheco - ? - Has the potential to be a super star but will undoubtedly move back to Barcelona sooner or later.

Strikers
Ngog - 6 - Has the potential to be a world class striker but lack of composure in front of goal costs him time and time again.
Torres - 8.5/10 - Best striker in the world when fit but plagued by injuries.

Man City:
Given-8..One of the best in the prem
Hart-9..Looks set to have a great future and did great for Birmingham last year

Lescott-6..Looked good after his injury but too slow sometimes
Toure-6..Didnt have a great season but expecting more
Kolarov-?..Looks set to become a great LB and has a monster freekick
Kompany-9...one of the best in the prem...hoping he can build on last year
Bridge-3...Looks absolutely hopeless at times eg Tottenham game and cant defend at all
Zabelta-6..didnt have a bad season but wasnt played a lot
Boateng-?...looked great at the World Cup and i hope he settles quickly
Richards-6...didnt have a great season but has fantastic potential if he wakes up!

Y Toure-?...Looks set to be a good player
Barry-6..didnt have a great season...maybe the pressure is getting to him..expecting more.
SWP-7...Had a good season but sometimes seems like hes a headless chicken
Ireland-6...didnt have a good season at all mainly due to him not playing
Silva-?...Looks a good little player and i hope he adapts well
De Jong-9..played fantastic last year and was one of my players of the year
Viera-5..Too slow nowadays but not a bad backup
A Johnson-8...Looked great in the games he played and i hope he can build on last year and also force is way into England team

Tevez-10...World class player...one of the best work ethics in the league and is a great finisher and worker for the team
Adebayor-7...Not too bad return (14 in 26) but he can never looked bothered at all sometimes so i hope he will change this.
Bellamy-10...Had a fantastic season last year...great work ethic and lightening pace...i hope he plays this year but im struggling to see where he fits in :(
Santa Cruz-3...How this man is a footballer i dont know...cant run/pass/shoot hes a disgrace considering he was 18m...he may well prove me wrong this season though :/

Both he and Evra are very very good fullbacks but neither the best in the world.

Who is then? I was under the impression these were comfortably ahead of anyone else at left-back. If you say Bastos, I will literally break down and cry.

Despite every half decent pundit stating he is. Watch how many times a player takes the ball pass A.Cole. You'll be lucky if you see it more than twice in a whole season.
I've seen Lennon go past him twice in the space of 5 minutes...

If Evra is the best in the world then that must make Lennon the best winger? He literally shakes in his boots everytime he plays aginst us :)

I agree with a lot of what Tunney said, most ratings the same.

Tottingham Hotspur

Goalkeepers:
Heurelho Gomes - 10 - Legend. Has anyone ever improved as much as this guy over a season?
Carlo Cudicini - 5 - Shaky on crosses, not sure how he will fare after the injuries. We could do with improving our backup.

Centre-backs:
Younes Kaboul - 6 - Very versatile and talented player. Improved 300% in a single season at Pompey! Was a 2 when he left, now a 6.
Sebastien Bassong - 7 - Solid enough, strong and quick. Couldn't hope for more for a backup CB.
Michael Dawson - 8.5 - Gets his head of everything, a lionheart. Still drives me mad with the "Beckham" long balls to Defoe!!! Can make rash decisions.
Ledley King - 9 - Even with his legs tied together still our best CB, few better than this guy. Only his knee stops the full marks.
Jonathan Woodgate - n/a - When fit he's a 9... fingers crossed for him

Full-backs:
Alan Hutton - 1 - Please **** off somewhere else and ruin their defence.
Gareth Bale - 9 - Expecting big things for our Welsh flyer this season. Has the lot and potentially world class. If he stays fit we will do well this season.
Vedran Corluka - 7 - Great ball control and solid defender, if he had more pace he'd be a solid 9. Probably under rated by all outside WHL.
Benoit Assou-Ekotto - 6.5 - Very competent 98% of the time. A penalty waiting to happen for the other 2%. (great description)

Midfielders:
David Bentley - 5 - If he sorts his head out he still has the potential to be a big player at Spurs, until then...
Tom Huddlestone - 8 - Massive player for us, if he keeps progressing at the rate he is he'll be a real asset to us. Few can hit the ball as sweet as Big Tom.
Aaron Lennon - 9 - One of our biggest weapons, I just pray to be able to see him and Bale tearing down the flanks in full flow this season. Please stay fit!
Jermaine Jenas - 4 - Athletic.... and erm.... not really sure what he does tbh
Wilson Palacios - 8.5 - Sargent Wilson the destroyer. One of my favourite players and harshly treated by a lot of Spurs fans with short memories. His form dipped towards the end of last season but lets not forget the horrors going on in his personal life :( Some rash challenges did leave him walking a tightrope for some important games, limiting his effectiveness. Passing is a weakness though.
Luka Modric - 9 - Arguably our most talented player and one I'd class as world class. Great touch and fantastic football brain.
Niko Kranjcar - 8 - What a bargain signing! Great player but he did go worringly off the boil for a bit last season. Knows where the goal is better than Modric.
Jamie O'Hara - 5 - Decent backup player, I'd be happy for him to stay.
Sandro -? - Yet to see him play so can't pass judgement. A tall defensive midfielder who's captained Brazil's U20 team.

Forwards:
Giovani Dos Santos - 5 - Utterly confusing player. World class for Mexico and always seems to win man of match or tournament with them. Hope he gets a chance to prove himself by knuckling down and training hard.
Roman Pavlyuchenko - 5 - On his day he's lethal... when it's not his day my mum could mark him out of the game.
Robbie Keane - 4 - Angry, pointy, rolly over, lost his touch, little irish fella. Time to move on.
Peter Crouch - 6 - Can be just as useful in defence as upfront. We seem to play more direct when he plays. Like Pav seems to run very hot and cold. Can score 12 in 4 games then not score for 6 months!
Jermain Defoe - 8 - Give him chances and he will score, effective as a striker and he seems to have brought more to his game lately, more of a team player but still has LOTS of room to improve.
