I'm not disappointed, sure it won't beat the 4090 but at that price I wouldn't expect it to. The 7800XT could be a nice proposition if they don't castrate it too much, will surely be far better price/performance then Nvidia's equivalent.

$999 for what looks like 4090 comparable raster performance, a grand is not little money but its a lot less than $1700.

Any news on when we can see proper information, i.e. 3rd party testing and benchmarking? I've little interest in a prolonged advert from a manufacturer, especially not one for graphics cards that are very expensive and apparently not particularly good.

Just to double check guys. AMD did NOT do any benchmarks vs the 4090? So are we rest assured that they avoided this because sadly the 4090 does better their cards comfortably or did I miss a slide where they did head to head benchmarks?

But even at that they could have shown some proper metrics vs the 6950XT in a range of games. Perhaps that will come out from additional press sources as these things are sometimes provided.

$899 = £805, plus 20% VAT = £966, likely £1000

So probably £1000 and £1100.
