Video about some of the performance rumours
Again "if" this is true Nvidia know something we don't.

Nvidia will not release a Titan Branded GPU unless they are certain it can beat AMD's best by at least 10%.

Rumour is: No Titan Ada.

No titan?

Well....

there was a rumor on a chinese website that the top navi is going to be 70% of 4090 in raster, some Engineer guy handle i dont remember also considered a "proper" source

Well, the 4090 is 63% faster than the 6900XT.

At 70% the performance of the 4090 that would make the 7900XT 15% faster than the 6900XT. or 10% faster than the 6950XT.

That would be quite a shocker.... :D

why are you like this, when people talk abt 2x, 1.8x etc,, they are always talking abt synthetic benchmarks like the timespy extreme.. not an average real world gaming performance

That really is the crux of the problem, Nvidia show you best case scenario, people really want to believe so post review they latch on to whatever the best results are as if they represent real world averages.

The 4090 is fast, really ####'ing fast, but its not 1.8X, its certainly not 2X.

The same goes for AMD's GPU's, having said that historically AMD's claims for both Ryzen and RDNA have been true if not even sandbagged. Unlike Nvidia and Intel.

there are different perspectives.. the timespy extreme eg is a purpose built benchmarking software that provides a clearer estimate of graphics card performance free from external constraints
also the numbers being leaked at this stage would be more likely synthetic
let see how it goes i need another card for the pc at my parent's house where i visit on weekends for food

It is just how the maths works out. 1.5x perf/watt @400W from a 6900XT baseline is 2x performance.

380W at 1.6x perf/watt is also 2x performance.

So the numbers suggest 2x raster is 100% doable at 4k.

I'm going out on a limb and saying AMD are going to cement their CPU advantage and smash it out of the park with a 7800X $/£500 that is >3080TI/3090/4080 12GB.

The rumour never said it was the top die. It could the 7700xt for all we know :p

Soemthing I heard was that a route AMD could take was sensible pricing with the 7900xt but a bump (£100) in the 7800xt price, since technically Nvidia isn't there to keep them in check.

Nvidia doesn't need Titan based on these rumours.

The rumour says 2x raster performance over 6900xt - rtx4090 is already 2x over 6900xt so the rumour would make the 7900xt and rtx4090 on par with each other

Then the rumour says 2.5x RT performance over 6900xt - rtx4090 is already 4x over the 6900xt so the rumour would place the 7900xt well below the rtx4090 in RT.

When you add these rumours into a package you can see Nvidia can and will keep the 4090 price high and they have no need for a Titan as they will claim another mindshare win over amd.

As for your TPU benchmarks. they are still using a garbage test system that heavily slows down the 4090 that's why their results are so low compared to other reviewers who used the latest parts to test with instead of 2 to 3 year old parts.
