Generally when people mess with the likes of "brightness", contrast and colour, you are just going to be crushing blacks and have the different gradients of colours banding together etc.

Unless you have calibration hardware, I wouldn't diverge from those settings in the above spreadsheet as whilst they may look better with your own settings that doesn't mean it is accurate and the way it is intended to look. I certainly wouldn't be messing with settings just for this one very broken game either, been said many times that now about the HDR issue and 4k/checkerboarding being broke for the ps 4 pro.
Hopefully rock star will fix the issues given the amount of coverage on this now, especially surrounding the ps 4 pro.

Give your eyes time to adjust, you are probably used to over the top vibrant colours, those pop colour settings may look better but they are far from accurate and if you were to fire up lagonm test slides, you'll more than likely see issues with black, whites and the gradients.
Be best to test other games etc. with settings than basing settings on one broken game too.

Yep it's silly, it's so quick that shadows and shades sometimes don't fade in, they instantly change which really deters from the immersion at times.

I'm 85% through, completed it last night after doing the two epilogue chapters. Still got a bunch to do, all the challenges, legendary hunting/fishing etc. Gonna be a long one.

I was doing the gunslinger challenges, got on the train and it took me to Saint Denis. Got off, whistled for my horse ( didn't expect it to be there to be fair ) and I got told that my horse had died ! Go buy / steal a new one
