Red Dead Redemption *SPOILER THREAD*

Just finished it.

Most fun I've had with a game this gen.

The parts when the music with lyrics starts playing are some of the most epic moments in any video game.

Kinda cool that you play John's son at the end.

Is anyone else really disappointed with the Legend of the West outfit? I busted my ass getting to level 10 in all the ambient challenges, and it's basically the Deadly assassin outfit without the eye patch and a few bits and bobs changed. Cheap! :(

Its basically the duster outfit which I unlocked after a few hours playing the game. lol.

Just finished too. Didn't really like the way its just a duel, then cut to "Red Dead Redemption", was hoping for a bit more. Seemed tacked on or something.

The missions at his house were probably the best ones in the game tbh. Would have been better to have the story centred around his farm and family, like going there every so often or whatever, but hey.

Finished in around 23hrs with around 85% done.

Duels were how things got settled. I thought it was a fitting ending.

Yea i guess, but that was it. There was no emotional, why did you kill him or big long conversation I was expecting when confronting the man who killed your father. It was just bang. Dead. End. Was hoping for some speech or something, but nope, just a duel like any other duel in the game.

Was definitely a good game, just a random quest that ended the game. Would have been better if it ended with seeing John dead, then the credits, then the cut-scene where you become Jack and then a longer quest to find Edgar.

Jack already knows why they killed John. The law men told Jack all about his father and what he has done when Jack was kidnapped.

Jack just wanted revenge.

If they could have extended it out at the end it would have been better. Or rather not giving the user any control at all until the credits ended. Just left a 3 year time gap where his mother died and other stuff happened in between that it didn't really explain. Would have been nice to see/hear what happened in that time period.

EDIT: Or even if they just ended with John dieing, then giving the user to control Jack/Abi on the horse, finding somewhere safe, having a teary moment then end and after that giving you control of Jack for the 'free' section of the game. No revenge at all, because the theme of "Life being unfair" came up a number of times in the game, so having a 'downer' ending would have suited a Western style game.

Yea i suppose. Just seemed like a really odd way to end. Well, not odd, just rather quick, like in the space of 1 minute. Duel. Over. My face = -_-

Just came to the end of the 'Poppycock' Stranger mission where you decide whether to keep the $1000 or give it to Mr Tollets.

Chose to keep it and walk away and was told the quest was failed because of this. Can I still 100% the game?
