Plays really well on my 970 + 2500K. Had to notch it down to DX11 as DX12 seemed a bit unstable.
Didn't touch the settings, wasn't even sure what it was set to but whatever it defaulted to ran kinda poorly on my 1070 and 3570k. Did look sublime though so maybe it defaulted beyond what my rig can handle. Happens in a lot of games.Plays really well on my 970 + 2500K. Had to notch it down to DX11 as DX12 seemed a bit unstable.
Apparently they've cut a lot of content from the original game, including a myriad of different enemies, and they've also heavily streamlined the game in places, such as the starting sequence. I'm still excited, but it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea.

From gaming news sources:
"Reported by Wccftech, director Kazunori Kadoi and producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi were asked about the total length of the story. With the original Resident Evil 2’s main story being five-and-a-half hours long (according to How Long To Beat), fans will be happy to know that the remade campaigns for Leon and Claire will be 10 hours each."
really?
jeez there really wasn't much to the original as it is, I remember picking it up after school on release day and finished it by bedtime.
I'm not talking about the length of the story, although someone has already completed Claire's campaign in less than four hours:
To give you an example:
The segment on the city streets has been streamlined, so the police station is literally around the corner. You don't go to the gun shop and meet Kendo in the beginning, and Brad Vickers has been cut from the game completely, so you don't encounter him before you reach the station. There are no crows or spiders in the late game, among many other things.
Yeah. Pretty sure I will get at least 10 hours out of each as I intend to take my time and soak everything in as I play along the first time. Probably might be longer than 10 even.Yeah, I did a knife only run in under 2 hours on RE Remaster. Yet my first run, when it came to steam after a long break, I got something like 15 hours. Once you have played through a few times and know where to go, how to do the puzzles and get used to the inventory management, RE games can be completed pretty fast.
You have always been able to smash resident evils in no time if you go for it. 91/100 on metacritic. No body seemingly mentioning short length.
It's obviously not going to be that long so if that's an issue I wouldn't buy it.
exactly that's for speedruns its still gonna be 10 hours each for the average joe, 20 hours for both with some of the old game modes and more game modes to be added in dlc. i hate the fact there are not two scenarios but 99 percent of what I have seen and heard over last year has made me hyped beyond belief.
