I heard that it may not be a accurate counter. It is an approximation or release date, not necessarily when it unlocks.

Indeed and a relief at that. I still find anything over 50Gb excessive and a bit rude! Where the hell Shadow of Mordor got their 100Gb+ worth of game from I don't know; I'm playing the game now and it doesn't feel particularly big or special to look at to justify the size. Do we think these inflated sizes could be kept under control more with a bit more effort put into optimization?

yea thats just the console lot that got the physical copies early. It's not that many but its still third watched game on twitch.

One of my friends has been playing it all day on his PS4. It arrived in the post this morning, not sure where he ordered it from.

What kind of FPS did you get? I left it on the recommended settings for graphics (1440p with 1070ti) and it ran at about 80-90fps. That's with a ryzen 1600 @ 3.8Ghz.

Felt about 50-60 but had abit of chugging. Might be time to get a Ryzen or the latest i5, this old gal is getting long in the tooth.

Oh really, my rdr2 was definitely locked once installed. I guess someone has to implement it but not every company does I guess.

The Steam counter has only been a loose indication based on the date for previously released games however a quick search did bring up the following:

I would not wait up especially its rare to have a late release on Steam its usually 5 or 6PM Friday evening to keep retailers happy same thing happened with Shadow Of The Tomb Raider the timer reset itself before it unlocked!
