bought the rocket launcher for him specifically. After dazing him by shooting his eyeball leg things, used that then the upgraded magnum and he was done in about 20 seconds

It was Ramon Salazar that did my head in!

I used the rocket launcher for Ramon, onto the island section tonight !!

I will be spending my moneys upgrading my gear. 80K does quite a few upgrades. Rocket launchers will be for second playthrough :D

Must have felt satisfying though.

I am guessing where you are is chapter 11 or thereabouts. Might get there tonight or tomorrow :)

I knew it was probably going to be an annoying fight, so i just wanted it over with, haha, early doors in chapter 13, hopefully get it finished for the weekend and will try mercenaries out, then go for a 2nd and 3rd playthroughs getting achievements and stuff, weapon unlocks :) just over 15 hours played, so its working out over an hour a chapter or so, so im happy with that, still havent messed around with the shooting ranges much or shooting the merchants blue icons that scatter around locations, plus theres new game plus which will have to get a rattle :D

I have finished 3 times now. 1 full playthrough on standard, 1 full playthrough on Assisted to get the money for the Infinite Rocket Launcher and to pick up some trophies and challenges and finally did a run through on Hardcore to get Ashleys Suit of Armour. When i am feeling a bit masochistic i will have a go at Professional. To be honest, i think the only areas that will cause problems will be the Minecart, Krauser knife fight and the jetski part.

Having loads of fun with this, currently on chapter 4 and looking forward to handgun+knife only run on HC, professional probably not:D There seem to be loads of unlocks and Mercenaries is coming as well + Separate Ways at some point.

The best thing is, even on PS5 the game runs so well that I can use resolution + RT mode and the framerate stays at 60fps most of the time and when it drops below that, it stays within VRR range so it's still smooth. Granted RT in this is very barebones but still.
It must look hella good on PC.

Minecart and Jetski? piece of **** those bits.

I actually found the minecart section on Hardcore easier than on Standard however i believe on both the minecart and jetski sections on the harder levels there are more obstacles and both of them can take a lot less damage and even glancing blows can take off a huge chunk of health.

Oh really? I wasnt aware of that.

Starting chapter 11 now. Did a lot of back tracking to grab things I had missed on chapter 10. Plus to do a mini boss fight. I think I am at around 11 hours played so far :)

Not far of fully upgrading my Red9 :D

I was playing on hardcore until getting stuck at the house onslaught with the sleazy Spanish guy in Chapter 5. Just didn't have enough health items to get through it. I was seconds away from doing it a few times after the guy with the axe came in but alas, I fell short. I ended up restarting a standard playthrough as it's just not fun having to retry a certain part 5+ times and I'm sure that wouldn't have been the last time I got stuck. Breezing through it now. The enemies being harder to take down on hardcore weren't the problem for me, it was the additional damage you take from hits.

I did HC first on both remakes but went for standard in this to have more incentive for replays. Also, I think the remake is quite a bit harder than the original, or maybe I just don't remember it that well.

Once I complete it on standard, need to go back and finish off Final Fantasy Crisis Core which I put on hold. Then will be back to play on Hardcore.

Will probably keep it installed until I do most if not all achievements. I managed to do that with RE3 Remake :D

I still prefer the old merchent though. This one has longer lines which come off repetitive.

Must have heard "gun rymes with fun" a dozen times already

I'm yet to hear the merchant in English, doing the first run in Japanese:p Though he does seem to have longer lines, the most frequent I hear is something along the lines of "Don't screw up and die out there!" when leaving the shop.

Not sure why I'm doing this to myself since RE games are much better with English VA but well, practice first, fun later:D
