I'm on chapter 16 now.

Just trying to finish it and start the last of us. My gaming machine is in a loft and we are in April already. Once we get in to May and the weather goes above 20c gaming will come to a stop untill around Sep. :(

Think outside the box, whilst working inside your box :p

Did the rail bit on Standard. Was super easy. I even got an achievement for doing it without being hit :D

Oh and finally killed Ramon

Lmao did Village and got an S and thought that was great and submitted my score. Checked leaderboard and there are people that have over 1 million :/

Still, really good fun the arcade mode lol.

Just finished too! I am going to new game + next with higher difficulty, and try get everything I missed. All the Castello dolls etc.

I got a B also. But had two extra hours on the clock and about 10 more saves

Right lads. Now that I have played the game, can indeed say I enjoyed it more than I did the original. The only thing I preferred more in the original was the merchant I think.

It still is not a proper Resident Evil game, but I sure enjoyed it more than what we have been getting lately with RE7 and Village.

It is a tough one, not sure which I enjoyed more. This or RE2 Remake. Even if RE2 Remake is a proper RE game it just felt like they needed to do more and felt like an missed opportunity for me. I think it just simply did not live up to my expectations.

Only way I could put RE4 Remake ahead of RE2 Remake is with time where I have played each once or twice more. But as it is will leave RE2 Remake above this.

It goes ahead of RE0 due to the story and monsters in that being not the best. Even though I prefer the game style of RE0 the general fun factor of RE4 Remake is higher.

1- Resident Evil Remake
2- Resident Evil 2
3- Resident Evil: Code Veronica
4- Resident Evil 3
5- Resident Evil 2 Remake
6- Resident Evil 4 Remake
7- Resident Evil 0
8- Resident Evil Village
9- Resident Evil 3 Remake
10- Resident Evil 4
11- Resident Evil 7
12- Resident Evil 5
13- Resident Evil: Revelations
14- Resident Evil: Revelations 2
15- Resident Evil 6

PS4: Finally caved and bought. Digital deluxe version for £33. Just finished chapter 5 and calling it a night.

I remember playing the original many years ago and thinking "where are my zombies? This is a bit ****". Sort of beginning of the end for Res Evil. But putting that thought aside, this game is very good! Very tense and actually challenging.

I'm very glad I went for the deluxe as you get a shotty and pistol with some ammo - I think I would be struggling without these, it's also allowed me to save cash and upgrade weapons! I knew the Red 9 was coming in chapter 4, so I saved all can and upgrades for that.

My PC is a potato, i also prefer Res Evil on consoles, so am actually really enjoying this.

Reached chapter 7 yesterday, still having a blast. I only wish they'd let you store ammo and herbs, I haven't yet decided on my weapons and I'm forced to haul all that stuff while struggling for inventory space sometimes.

So far, I'd agree with TNA. I think I also prefer it to the original at this point. It's just a bit more serious and atmospheric and expands on good elements while getting rid of silly stuff like the rolling boulder and QTEs.

We'll see how I feel after I finish it but, while still not a proper RE game, it's undoubtedly the best out of the remakes so far and something that actually deserves to be called that (looking at you, RE3).

EDIT: Except the old merchant, that guy is irreplaceable, I'm sorry:P

Yep. Old merchant was the best. I like this one too. But how many times can one listen to him saying gun rymes with fun? Lol

Yeah we pretty agree. RE3 was by far the worst remake and this one is the best. RE2 was a good remake, just not great like it should have been. They needed to have put more time and resources into it imo.
