So far, I'd agree with TNA. I think I also prefer it to the original at this point. It's just a bit more serious and atmospheric and expands on good elements while getting rid of silly stuff like the rolling boulder and QTEs.

We'll see how I feel after I finish it but, while still not a proper RE game, it's undoubtedly the best out of the remakes so far and something that actually deserves to be called that (looking at you, RE3).

EDIT: Except the old merchant, that guy is irreplaceable, I'm sorry:p

Have you upgraded the case? I'm up to Chapter 7 too and haven't had any issues with storage. Red 9, Stingray, Riot Gun, TMP are the only weapons i carry.

Yeah, I did, it's mostly the green herbs that I keep hoarding to combine them with red ones which are quite rare:P And ammo for guns I haven't yet bought and have no way to store:P

I enjoyed the inventory management. Would not be Resi without it for me. If they stripped that out too then RE4 should have been a whole new IP :cry:

I did end up with a lot of ammo due to using the crossbow. I had to sell the submachine gun ammo as was not using those.

I actually did not use the magnum gun until the end. Only had like 6 bullets plus what was in the chamber when buying the gun right at the end of the last boss fight. That is typical though, I always save magnum until the end :D

Going to play on profesional next and further upgrade my gear. Already have quite a few fully upgraded anyway. Need to do shotgun and magnum gun and a little left on the rifle.

But first need to go back and continue playing to complete Final Fantasy Crisis Core.

Don't get me wrong, I love the inventory management. It's just that I could store ammo no problem in 2 and 3 those were proper resi games:p You get so much stuff in this that you'd still need to decide what to keep so being able to store either herbs or ammo would be nice, especially that items don't stack unlike in 2 and 3.

Not a gamebreker though, still love it.

EDIT: I spent quite a lot if time in the original sorting my case so that everything's in order:p

Never played the original but am loving this. I'm not usually into horror games but the action/shooting helps keep me going and the setting is awesome. I like games like this and dead space where you have a fantastic looking game and don't feel helpless, always having some sort of tool to work with.

Not my image, but I got striker with 3 just silver coins for what's it's worth, seems random, also got the Ashley 50% last night but with 3 gold. I've always just gone 3 gold or 3 silver no mixed.

On chapter 9 of hardcore now on NG+, going well but Del Lago was a lot harder not being able to use my upgraded weapons, that damn harpoon a pain to use. Still not used the striker charm, saving for professional if I make it there.
 
Charms are confusing me. Why 'save' it? Once you attach it it can be removed, or is it once you use it it can't be used on another playthrough?

It was a cracker, done not so long ago there, had a blast, 20 hours b rank, will give it a rest now for a while before 2nd playthrough, get some more challenges, achievements etc, will have a crack at mercenaries the odd evening now

Really enjoyed it. Well worth the £35 I paid. Just give me some more. And by that I mean Code Veronica, Resident Evil 0 and a Remake of the original Remake.

Resident Evil 5 can wait. No rush whatsoever for that one and please don't bother remaking 6 at all unless willing to change it a lot.

Would love that, mainly pc game so i never played the original code veronica, but i feel they will be working on RE 9 then a re 5 remake, if they dont do a code veronica remake because its not a main line Title it would be a crying shame
