Would love that, mainly pc game so i never played the original code veronica, but i feel they will be working on RE 9 then a re 5 remake, if they dont do a code veronica remake because its not a main line Title it would be a crying shame

I still play it now and then and it holds up well. Would be nice if they just make it so I can stop playing the old one via emulator. That said I will still go back and play RE2 original via emulator as I think it is better than the remake, even more so with RE3. I doubt I will ever play the original of RE4 now though, just like I don't even replay the original RE, as the remake is better in every way.

What I don't get is, why don't they do what all these mods do and use ai to upscale all the pre rendered backgrounds and pump up the polygons on the characters and release it on steam? I would happily buy it again.

Easily worth it. Played lots yesterday, currently on chapter 10 and really liking what they've done with the castle and the Ashley section.

I feel like I have no reason to go back to the original and they somehow managed to make it feel a bit more like a survival horror, even though it still leans heavily towards action.

It's also big enough that one of the best challenge runners for the series straight out said a no damage run without saving on Pro was out of the question for this very reason:P

Tons of replayability by the looks of it as well.

Man, Dino Crisis would be so amazing on this engine. Code Veronica I haven't played so that would be great to have as well.

Just do either before RE5, pretty please.

So is it worth £30 or should I wait until it’s cheaper ?

Play ok on a 3070 ?

I feel it's definetely worth it, yes. You should have no problem with it running, i have a ryzen 9 3900x, 16gb ram and a 2080 super graphics card, which is a 8GB card same as your 3070 i think, plays wonderful, re engine is great for older hardware

upto chap 13 get the level 3 keycard its been tough i will say that.

Yeah, that chapter was not easy. At first I started trying to kill him but he kept regenerating and I was like wtf. Forgot about that enemy type. I was like no way, I unloaded way too much ammo so I just restarted from my earlier save which was literally just before and got all my ammo back and did a runner. Once I got the scope I was like come here you little **** :D

14 was long and tough!

The MP5 with the bio scanner sight is a godsend for the regenerators.

And done........what a ride!

Killer 7 fully maxed and 1 exclusive ticket made quick work of the big boss :)

Loved this game.
I am trying the Professional run and stuck a bit on the Lake Monster. I have about 120 spindels and was thinking about upgrading the Killer 7 to Max for that 5x Crit. Might have to buy some gold tokens and farm a load of silver to try and get the Striker Accessory as its annoying me now.. :(

I have given it a rest for a little while and have caught up with the challenges on Fortnite and have Gotham Knights to play next.

Finally beat this on hardcore NG+, found it as hard a a Dark Souls game in places, not sure I'm up to professional without buying the infinite launcher.

Standard handgun on full upgrade still very effective on hardcore for a lot of enemies, getting some one shot kills even from just exploding legs in some cases when going for knee shots and late game can one shot las plagas heads too. Went with standard load out I normally use and was able to upgrade all, SG starting handgun, Striker shotgun, Stingray rifle, TMP with stock and Killer 7 magnum. Was able to kill almost all enemies and not run out of ammo.

Accidentally gave myself a extra difficulty I hadn't realised till almost the end - I changed button mashing to hold in controls and forgot about it, so mashing instead of holding was very inefficient and draining all my health, changing back to mashing as my standard instinct was a lot easier.

Salazar a total pain, but there's a nifty, if hard to pull off trick (not a glitch, a legit strategy) where you can kill him in just 3 bullets from a full power upgraded and ticket bonus upgraded Killer 7 5x crit, after having a 15 minute beating from him it was amazing to pull it off in 5 seconds using that trick/strat. Quickest boss ever and likely hard to beat even if I was speed running it. He dies so quick he doesn't even get to say any of his corny lines.

Ball and chain section a nightmare but some grenade tricks make it a lot easier, great they added tricks as some bosses are a total pain, Krauser and final boss a lot of grief, used rocket launcher on final boss due to trying a couple of times, I beat him legit on standard so that's good enough for me.

Fantastic game but professional without autosaves is going to be brutal for me, let alone the 15 save limit for getting S+.

Yeah, as I've said, I feel this is noticeably harder than the OG, especially on pad.

I got all S on the shooting range yesterday but because they went with sway AND crosshair bloom AND no hitscan at the same time, aiming can be really wonky. Yeah, it's "realistic" but also not that fun sometimes:P

I'm only on standard so it's all perfectly doable but I don't remember having this much trouble in the other remakes on HC or the OG. Some sections were somewhat annoying. It's probably also because I retried a lot to get a perfect run when I made the slightest error, if I just pushed through I probably wouldn't feel that way.

Salazar got a golden egg in the face and didn't put much of a fight but I did get eaten by him once:D

I love the game overall and I'll still attempt a fresh save HC with pistol+knife only but not sure how that's gonna go. NG+ first though to grab missed collectibles and stuff.

Professional S+ might be too much bother for me, I might try it one day just because the game is so good but we'll see.

I will just do Profesional without bothering with a S+ for my next playthrough. S+ can come for like 4th playthrough or something.
