So flying a FLEG on certain days like most of the mainland UK somehow "alienates" protestants? What a load of utter ********.
Who is talking about protestants other than yourself?

Wonder how much revenue was generated over the last month for FLEG stores flogging their stock. A lot of Loyalist areas are already verging on the ridiculous with FLEGS dangling from virtually every possible vertical structure (often multiple FLEGS on the same lamp post), the FLEG drama has just put it into overdrive.

Why would they fly a flag from a foreign nation? And something that is very sensitive in this area? You clearly dont understand Northern Ireland..
Speak to your local city councilor and ask him not to vote on politically divisive issues, that alienate half a city and bulk of the surround area. Who is this majority you take of?
Where are these flags? I barely see any? let alone multiple on different lamp posts?

Mate I live in a Blue area of North Belfast, nearly every lamppost on the bus route to the City Centre via the blue area has flags, the bus also passes through a green area, funny thing, no flags. Weird.
Who else would you be talking about? Know any catholic unionists or loyalists?

Am not a protestant, I do know a number of catholics that are both Unionist and loyalist and a few that were UDR. No doubt you will find that strange but yet again your not from my community.
Most nationalist areas only have flags up on specific days now, Easter uprising commemeration being the main one and theyre taken down quite soon after. You get the occasional tricolour but nothing anywhere near the scale of most loyalist areas.
Why can't they they fly the Union flag AND the Irish flag?
Or is that too logical?

How about the Newlodge Flats they flight their flags 364 days a year and have done for as long as I can remember.
Where are they? Well off the top of my head the village on the Donegall road springs to mind (UVF flags and all), Stoneyford, the protestant community on the blacks road, around the Finaghy area has also had a load of flags put up recently as well. Areas of north belfast etc.

I can grantee every single lamp post is not covered with a flag. As you say, these flags have been put up recently just like the foreign flags on the ormeau road. lets not try and make this another "its only them" situation.
.
And that would be what? 1 Tricolour? As i said, you get the odd exception but its nowhere near the scale of over the top slapping of flags on every structure as most Loyalist areas. Why 364 days though, they take them down for chrsitmas?![]()
