RM before 1pm item not delivered

I think they have already done that. I think they have alreadys sold over £100m of land and buildings off.

Unfortunatly this is RM saying up yours. The are purposely running at a lose so they dont have to give decent payrises.

The selling off of real estate is pretty normal in companies these days though. My employer had a number of big offices and factories, that they've sold off and just rent office space now. They've owned these buildings for decades but obviously land has massively shot up in value, and I guess with offices not needing much space anymore it was a bit wasteful keeping them all.

I mean yes but it is asset striping to pay bonuses and dividends to share holders.

Anyone know what's happening with mail coming from abroad? I have a package that left Hong Kong by air mail on 23rd November, no further tracking info after that. Safe to assume it's sat at an airport warehouse here in the UK? I'm guessing international mail must be a very low priority if Royal Mail haven't even logged it as arriving in the country after all this time.

Good luck with that. I'm still waiting for stuff I ordered in the UK nearly two weeks ago now. :(

I mentioned further back on this thread, I posted a special delivery item (internal UK) on 26th November. After the requisite waiting period (and being forced to refund the buyer in the process) I submitted my claim for loss.
Then lo and behold, last night it arrived at the inbound mail centre - 3 weeks later

Yeah it's actually getting tedious tracking deliveries. I have stuff from overseas travelling half the world quicker than the last 50 miles.

Its knocking onto couriers too. And tracking is a pain. Still got something showing as out for delivery on 12th not arrived by RM

Probably going to be a lot of returns after Christmas for deliveries not arriving on time with a mad rush on physical shops on Christmas eve

Public support for strikes will really start to wane. I don't think RM staff are going to get what they want.

I'm still waiting for coffee deliveries from the 6th and 9th that were next day delivery. Both still saying they haven't even been scanned into their system yet.

Sadly RM workers are just playing into the hands of the corporate side of RM. Run down the expensive letters and "postie" side and focus on the more lucrative parcel deliveries.

Having a relatively strong union in a privately owned company is a recipe for disaster.

Had a RM24 that should have been delivered early week no longer moving.

Nothing the retailer can do yet. Apparently in in the local DO. If a RM 24 sent last week isn't here yet I don't hold out much hope for anything else in post to arrive before Christmas

What's really frustrating is I ordered something through click and collect to avoid the post issues. Couple of days later "sorry we made a stock mistake, we don't have one, but you can still order for delivery".

Yeah thanks for that.

They use DX to deliver passports IIRC

Yup courier service

It seems somebody told the post people round here that they are still on strike. I've not had packets that I've been expecting for over a week now. :(

Not sure if they're delaying xmas cards they're really slow but my replacement bank card turned up on time was getting more than a little worried and the nearest branch is a long way away

Funnily enough, my replacement bank card arrived today - the one which was ordered last Monday.
