So I had to visit 5 different chemists today. All but one had closed for lunch, you'd think that would be their busiest time. Anywho, I eventually got given some nappy rash cream for my saddle sores, Sudocrem. Anyone tried it for this purpose? Did it work? Only one way to find out I guess. This post was just to rant at pharmacy closures really :)

Do you use a chamois cream pre-ride? Udderly Smooth gets my vote

I just use Sudocrem as my chamois cream. £4 for a massive tub in Asda at the moment, and does a job as good as any I've tried in the past.

I've used suodcrem and it does the job. If things are really bad it's good to use the stuff and take time off the saddle for a few days though. Once I did that things cleared up and since then I just use it infrequently.

Has anyone done the BHF Manchester (Trafford Centre) to Blackpool night ride? (Linky).

Leaves the Trafford Centre around midnight for ~52 miles to arrive in Blackpool to see the illuminations. I was thinking of then riding back to TC to collect a car, though the lack of sleep at that point concerns me more than the distance...

Ah good to see I've started a little debate :P

I only really get saddle sores if I ride in the rain, but no I don't normally use any pre-ride cream. It rained heavily on Monday (I think), normally just get them to the side, but this one is dead center, right on me knackers. Felt like I had a splinter in my shorts (I checked and I didn't).
So should I use the Sudo before, or after rides? Or both?

I want to do it one day, but the thought of arriving in Blackpool at 3 in the morning or whenever is rather offputting.
