Yes, still looking good after two winters of abuse. Should be good for the upcoming winter too. No major sign of damage. And I'm glad to see you opted for the 25mms :)

Great tyres, I've used them for the past two winters and they have been flawless.

Just don't read anything into the Wiggle discount percentages. They mean nothing. Things like tyres are never full price at Wiggle. Nor are they full price at any other online retailer. Everywhere is about 40% off :p

I run GP 4 seasons all year round and can't fault them!

Picked up a Felt F5 frame

Along with a new stem

Swopping my current 6800 ultegra groupset over then retiring the allez frame.

Sweet frame and good choice, how has the Allez been, how old and how many miles? I'm only asking as a guy from my work swears by his (think its a 2014) but he hasn't done many miles!

Good ride this evening. 26 miles and 1800 feet of climbing, so quite hilly, about 70ft per mile. Absolutely ludicrous wall of tarmac 13 miles in which nearly finished me off, but I knew it was only short so I kept going. There's a decent chunk of the route that I've only ever done in the opposite direction, so it was quite nice to see it going the other way.

This wall? 'Only 10%' for 0.1 miles! ;)

Glad to hear, any idea approx miles?

That Giro helmet is now £114 at Sigmasport.

Not as aero as they claim, or not, that's still pretty cheap for an aero road helmet.

This might be ideal for me, i wear glasses so something with a shield may be the way to go. I bought some cycling glasses for £10 with insertable lenses but im being priced 130 for lenses which is stupid!

The helmet looks beaut and has a visor, i need a new helmet so i might get this.

Two things to consider. Loosen the tension on your pedals. Unclipping shouldn't require any effort. Shimano pedals have adjustable tension.

YOu might consider getting some Specialized insoles. Depending on how high your arches are they have various levels of support. I use the green ones as I have quite high arches. Stops pain on outside of foot or arch.

Im finding it hard to unclip as i have a torn calf, usually its easy, infact a little too easy sometimes now as my cleats have worn.

Ill certainly look at those insoles if my cleat adjustment doesnt work, thanks for this!

another week, another set of clips..

:o:D

Youre mental, i take some risks but this is insane! Drivers dont have chance to see youre there before youre gone.

I find Keighley to be quite like this and some areas of Bradford but i avoid these areas normally and tend to go for the more scenic route :D

You must have been brushing shoulders on some of those gaps!

Between some of their driving and some of your cycling it's a wonder you're not dead yet

Lol i agree with this.

what was wrong with my cycling in the above video then? :P I guess it's very unusual for people who live outside of the city to see that much traffic/movement on the road! and that filtering must look super risky too.

Traffic around here gets like that but i try to avoid traffic as much as possible. Hate other cars.

Roadyyyyy, where are youuuuu?

What guards do i need again? :D

Hence why I grabbed a pair of the SC tyres for £33 at Decathlon! I don't need them yet, but I'd rather get them cheap...

Indeed, I stocked up on P4Es a while back. Still need to get round to swapping out my second.

SCs are nice tyres but the slightly reduced puncture and wear resistance would worry me given the amount of miles I normally do.

Apparently they're largely identical, though a key difference is that the 650s have cartridge shoes while he 450/1s have solid rubber blocks.

They look the same but the main difference is the pads, cold forged and anodized for ultegra, metal vs plastic QR and a different barrell adjuster style which doesn't corrode as easily.

Both are many, many times better than the crap that tektro supply on a lot of bikes.

You are ALL down South to us! :p

I'm reminded of a character in Good Omens, Sergeant Shadwell, who "hated all southerners and, by inference, was standing at the North Pole."

But yeah, at least we've got running water and inside toilets down here in Manchester...

that's why I have my light on at all times ;) keeps me more visible while filtering, the blinking in the mirrors grabs attention! if it rains I'll turn the strobe on - same at nights :o I've only ever clipped a mirror 3 times in over 12k miles  which some may call lucky.

I must admit, your cycling did look quite skillful.

There isnt much room for error in some areas of that video so Kudos to you lol.

3 times in 12k miles isnt bad at all!

Lights are always a good idea, i dont use mine as much as i should. I use them when the weather is bad or on the darker mornings and evenings.

I havent used them in months now though.
