Starting to think I got ripped off on my last bike fit.

The fitter said he was going to email me the report + a list of appropriate bikes/frames, as my current one is too small for me. I mentioned that I had my eye on a certain Canondale, but wasn't opposed to other brands.
Anywho, I wait a week and nothing. I needed a few bits, so I thought I'd pop back down to the shop. The fitter was there, and as soon as he saw me got very defensive and said "Canondale don't make any frames that will fit you".
He handed me a piece of paper with a picture of a bike, with some dimensions written down, and told me "You need to take this to another bike shop". I mentioned again that I was interested in other brands, I have a max budget of £5k and what could they recommend. He said they only sell Treks, but he would look at some frames and call me.

He didn't call me back, so I decided to try the local Cycle Surgery. I handed the guy the dimensions I had received from the original shop, and his reply was "I've been in the industry for over 10 years, and I've never seen anything like this" He then proceeded to try and sell me another bike fitting.

I've since found out that the original shop is closing down at the end of the month. Which explains why they didn't get back in contact. I'm just at a bit of loss of what to do now. I'll try another bike shop and see what they say.

I'll scan and upload the paperwork when I'm not at work.

I find it hard to believe that Cannondale don't have any frames that will suit you... Between all the seatposts, saddles, stems and bars in the world there is not one frame that they make that will fit you?

Right....

Apparently not :/ They said I have unusually long legs, a short torso, and although I have good flexability, my core strength is very poor. I guess that limits the frames and positions I can use. I'm just un-sure what to do next, I've had 2 bike fittings now, and I'm certainly not paying for a 3rd.

I'd say the opposite. Seat post will make the bigger comfort increase than the bars. You'd see a bigger comfort increase by swapping bar tape than the actual bars if you're wanting to change stuff in the cockpit.

No the reason I say the bars would make a bigger difference to me is because I find my saddle super comfortable, and don't really have issues there.

The biggest problem I have is wrist pain on rides of even only short distances.

Wrong, wrong, right!

Mileage looking good mate, I guess just regular time in the saddle is the better thing rather than distance/intensity as you want to continue building your core support and muscles without overly stressing them.

You're not far below me for average weekly mileage :p

thanks Roady
I will have to try and get out more then, but im doing a lot of stretches, core strength etc at the moment, so difficult to get out on the bike next day after using a roller on my leg etc lol

What bike fitting was this ?
mine was "Retul" and I rate them very highly
the actual fitter was brilliant, I got home and the email was there with all the stuff and I even emailed him with questions and he answered them

Trek - Precision Fit. To be honest, the fitting was quite thorough. They had a jig that was adjustable, which they moved closer to the handle bars, and then further away. They tried different length of cranks, different saddles, handlebar widths. I had a Retul fitting in May 2014, but this was far more detailed. The Retul one adjusted my bike, but they didn't tell me it was too small, which it clearly is.
My issue isn't with the actual fitting, the reporting and incompatibility with other bike shops is my issue. At £230 a pop, I don't really want to shell out for another fit, nor do I feel I should have to.

Excited to see this!

will do asap - couple of small issues needing fixed. The rear brake cable had come loose so that has been fixed (no biggy)

The Di2 setup was not recognising the battery for some reason - queue lots of head scratching, googling, firmware updates etc - turns out that it's a very small loose connection between the cable and the battery in the seatpost. Nothing major. Going to stick a tiny bit of tape on it which should hold it.

Charging battery up and will setup bike as per my measurements and hopefully get out for a quick spin tonight at some point. Pictures to follow when sorted.
