Sweet! Got the long w/end off this week, so should get some good miles in. Tour de france is on to add extra motivation, i'm riding the best i have all year, it's the height of summer as well so looking forward to making the most of the long days and getting some quality time in the saddle.

Still, it's just a bit of rain. As long as it's not too wind.....

Oh.

I don't think i can ever remember a summer as bad as this year up here.

When the good weather gets here i'm gonna be strong as ****, cos i've been doing winter base miles for about 7 ****ing months....

Hmm. It's overcast but warm, with no forecast of rain... I think I feel a cat 3 hill climb coming on.

The weather forecast was spot on, apart from mentioning that it was horrifically windy. Still, it wasn't a bad 26 miles.

Following on from today's top speed discussions, I hit 38.7mph after spinning into the wind and then tucking in. Looking back at that segment, I've once gone down there and hit 44.5mph, which I think must be the fastest I've ever gone on a bike.

I've done a whopping 10 miles more than I'd done by this time last year. I'd be way ahead if January and February hadn't been so utterly utterly dire.

Did you use the tool to click the connector in place at the battery? It should click into place when properly inserted using the wee tool.

no tool but finally I think I've got it sorted. It was in place but there is a finally little push required to get it to click properly. I was worried about pushing to hard but looks like it just needed that.

Seems all good now - ready to go!!! Excited muchly!

Shame got a funeral tomorrow and dreadful looking weather for next 3 days!!!

Day off riding yesterday as I felt a bit ill (day off work too, woo, though spent most of it in bed). Riding in this morning I decided to take it fairly easy right up until the point someone I passed earlier clearly wanted to catch me up and re-take his 'lead'. Nice to have the motivation to put a bit of effort in I guess :)

edit:

Lol. I named my ride with reference to noticing the guy.....and a short moment later he appears as "rode with" on it :p

Feeling really good at the moment, had a great weekend cycling in France and went sub 22 on a 10m TT last night.

Almost tempted to give racing another try. Almost.
