oh god, ordered something from bikeinn but put in the wrong postcode, now they just hang up the phone and ignore customer service messages :( should have researched them before using them.

Really like my schwalbe one 28mm, nice n comfy :p

that was my problem with 28c! it is a bit squishy.. ! feels a bit wrong when putting the EPIC AMOUNTS OF RAGING BULL power down.

I'd say they're <Subaru impreza owner mode on> faster in the real world </Subaru impreza owner mode off> than a lot of racier stuff. I plough straight through stuff I'd blanche at on 23s with nary a thought

replaced my BB over the weekend, squeeking is gone! thank balls! wonder how long that will last - 5k miles likes the previous would be good ;)

Coming up to 10,000 miles on my current BB. No signs yet of it failing any time soon. Still feels as good as new (Ultegra 6700) :D

Interesting feedback on decent quality 28mm tyres. Maybe I'll give them a try sometime, though it would mean messing with my mudguards :p

definitely for commuting and stuff. I run 23/25 on summer pleasure bikes though, my old steely wont pass 25s so that's staying on 23s

it has the closest clearances I've ever seen, brake pads pushed all the way to the top of the caliper slots!

From what I've read, Michelin Pro 4 25mm tyres on decent wide rims (like the H Plus Son Archetypes I've got!) typically measure up around 28mm. Mine certainly look as big as the 28mm Vittorias I've got on my single speed bike with its el cheapo wheels.

more and more bikes have the space for 28s now - I think manufacturers are getting wise to the fact that roads are terrible and most people a) quite heavy and b) not racing

Yep, I had to manually import this morning's commute :/

Suckage. I'm hoping mine will come through eventually. I have been taking it easy today as my legs are still tired from Saturday's imperial century so I'm not looking for PRs :p

165lbs
40/60%
54/87psi

54 seems crazy low!

I always use the 45/55 ratio with these calculators, though good ol' Shelly B suggests swapping out the tyres for thicker/thinner ones if they're not spec'd for the calculated psi.

Has anyone had any issues with their Garmin syncing to Strava this morning? My ride is on the Connect site but still hasn't appeared on Strava. Not a big deal, just a little annoying.

Had the same issue Thursday night and had to manually upload. Not ridden since but I've not had to manually upload a ride for months... Usually a garmin restart is enough (it's usually missing from Connect).

25mm does seem to be where it's at for the time being but I kind of get the feeling that we're going to get even wider tyres pushed as fashionable in the next couple of years.

Read somewhere that more and more of the pro riders were riding 26mm's so maybe we'll even start to prefer them wider than 25mm very soon. Although the pro's seem to have slightly different widths to us - 22mm and 26mm mentioned? Or are those more regular tub widths than clinchers?

That puts me at 67/106 PSI (198lb rider & bike with 25mm) which seems a crazy difference. I get a squishy unstable rear at 75 PSI, dread to think of the pinch flats I'd get any lower! :o

The michelin lower one puts me at 102 PSI which is a little closer (I'm generally running 90/95 PSI for comfort).

I'm weirdly getting the feeling I've plateaued 'again'. Last time was before I began pushing my mileage up, more recently it's been feeling a 'lack of progress' with my stamina and power when hitting climbs. Realise I really need to get some hill reps in and make it a regular thing - will help my riding overall. At least now I know I can do a fairly flat 40-50 miles if I want to, so now I need to aim at some hilly 20-30 mile routes.

Earlier in the year I did set myself a goal on this segment: https://www.strava.com/goals/segment/175432 which I can now probably do. Part of it was to prepare for a bigger climb I've said I'll do before the winter (but stupidly didn't set a goal when I had premium): https://www.strava.com/segments/1122256

Lol maybe one day...

I managed to do the Haugh Wood climb in 10:06 so I am sure you could smash 15 minutes easily!

I just saw your newly designed route and it looks great. I may try it this summer.
