Or just buy a pro pump that doesn't screw on to the valve :p

Topeak Mountain Morph fo' lyfe.

True dat. My old Lezyne pump was a nightmare for unscrewing valve cores when taking it off. I've got a Topeak dual mini one now that can get tyres up to 70ish psi without too much grief and that's good enough for getting home.

You just need to let the valve core cool down after pumping.

I wouldn't use any mini-pump other than a Lezyne, the flexible hose is vital!

I'm sick of my Lezyne pump undoing valve cores cores. I've got a valve core tool in my saddle bag, but I always forget when swapping out inners.

Thinking of binning the lezyne and getting a Topeak Morph.

I've been working on my tan lines with the odd bits of nice weather we've had recently.
I must have blinked and missed the good enough weather for short sleeves as my ride last night was the first time I've had bare arms for over 6 months! :o

Did a local loop involving 'Tin Hill' last night, which I previously did last October when it took us around 1 hour 24 minutes. Not pushing particularly hard, riding solo, pacing myself on the climbs and fighting a tailwind all the way back to town I did it in 1 hour 14 minutes. Very chuffed as a good indication my power levels are good already to have taken a lump out of it like that, onwards and upwards! :D
I think I need a secondary rear light. Got home last night and discovered my rear light had ran out of battery... Moon Nebula. It's great and nice and bright but I feel like battery life isn't super long. I have one of those cheap Smart rear lights that I sometimes stick on the back of my helmet as a second light but would kinda prefer something rechargeable. Any good deals on pulsing rear lights?
Really happy/impressed with my Exposure TraceR but they're not cheap. Cheaper alternative would be the Cateye mini RC I also have. Both last more than a weeks commuting, close to two.
After managing to get sunburn on my arms yesterday (massive idiot that I am), I have ordered some of these: http://www.castelli-cycling.com/Products/Men/Accessories/Warmers/UPF-50+-ARM-SKINS/p/451603616P

I'm not missing out on the good weather just because of a bit of sunburn, but I don't fancy leaving my red arms exposed to the sun!
Let me know how you find them, quite tempted to pickup myself a pair of them as I need new knee warmers soon and some better fitting arm warmers. The Sportful NoRain are far too thick (and I bought them a size too small so they're quite tight!)

I've been considering the TraceR... seem to see a lot of people using it around here too. It's on Amazon for £35 and I have a whole bunch of credit from work vouchers so might just get one.

Gah. Numpty tally for the evening stands at 3 - two pedestrians who crossed in front of me without looking and one teenage idiot cyclist who rode off the far pavement and across the road in front of me.

Go big and get the Exposure Blaze. 48h burntime on the lowest pulse mode which is still blinding.

A mate had the tracer and it developed a fault where bumpy roads would make it turn off.

Got the same tool after getting caught out like this on a hill about 30 miles from home...

Lezyne pump too.

I have had my legs out ONCE so far this year in this bloody country and you boys are talking about tan lines?!?!?

I got mocked for turning up without bibtights on at the APR on Tuesday, then got mocked again for having them on tonight, gloves and a skull cap!

Half these guys turn up in little more than a lightweight condom, to be fair I did take the gloves and cap off but still :)

Average speed never really does it justice, it's so ****ing jumpy that's the problem.
