I did the support ride for Wings for Life!

Was awesome fun, and started off marshalling the lead male wheelchair, then when he dropped out, moved up to the lead female wheelchair, before on to lead female runner, and finally went on to catch the lead male shortly before he got caught. Just under 40 miles. What a runner, especially when you consider the Heat we had on Sunday.

Which one were you? Jack cycled with us pretty much the whole run.

I was running with the lead female wheelchair for the whole day, except when she dropped me doing 20mph downhill and I had to bury myself to catch up.

I came up from riding with the lead male wheelchair who was behind you, then went off to catch up with lead runners afterwards :)

I was on the Boardman frame with green bars and green helmet!

I think I remember you running with lady for the time i was hanging out before heading off :)

Ahh, not sure I remember. Were you telling me about how the wheelchair guy was moaning my friend had a "modified" chair?

It was a good day though and very hot!

Sorry for non-cycling chat but Malt_Vinegar was on a bike technically.:D

This was us after David Coulthard caught us at 34.4km

Yup I remember you. I was keen to get going, I had been riding quite slowly for a long time, so i don't think I was hanging around for too long

Went out for an impromptu ride last night with my mate, hadn't planned on riding and due to the humid weather I'd dug out an old pair of shorts to try commuting to see if they were worth keeping. Large DHB Flashlight bibshorts. I had to readjust the pad on them a couple of times & now my bottom feels like I spent the evening rubbing against sandpaper!

"HOWARJEEPFALAR" - the noise of a sprinting male cyclist trying to rapidly adjust a pad by tugging it, and not just tugging pad.
.

Had a similar experience with my bibs on Sunday. Bottom not as bad thankfully.

Just ordered a variety of different brands and sizes from wiggle to hopefully find some that fit my podgie body.

Stupid halfords. Ordered a cinelli gazetta friar 20% off, don't put next day click and collect! If you cant garantue it. Ordered Thursday for Friday collection still not there instore. Useless...

I know what fits for me, was just trying out some older & cheaper shorts! It's best to 'find' a pad which you are happy to ride in for 3+ hours, it's a very unique thing. Once you find a pad try to find info on it (too see if it's regarded as 'wide' or 'long' (or however else they're classified) and then research which shorts have that pad in.

Castelli KISS and Progetto seatpads are good. Although I'm finding the Sportful Totalcomfort & Comfort pro pads better as they're slightly wider and softer than the Castelli so will probably pick up some more Sportful for summer use.

Demand compensation as you 'needed it for the weekend'! ;)

Does any one know how you can use a .gpx file for smart trainers? id like to take the gpx file i have of a sportive and use it as a route for my Kickr, ive had a google but seem to be going in circles.

Anyone know where the cheapest place to order a pair of Continental 4 season tyres is please?
Cheapest I've managed to find so far is £62 per pair, at my LBS (after a little loyalty discount:D)

My current set have done around 3,500 miles.
Still in decent condition & not one punture in that time so I've decided to stick with them rather than swop back over to my GP400S II tyres that I normally use over the summer.

In other news, a nice little ride last night with my first KOM of the year.

Unless you can see the canvas through them, they get the Roady seal of approval for another 10,000km
