Probably your best bet. SportPursuit sometimes has them a bit cheaper... delivery takes a bit longer but combined with one of their 20% off weekends that brings them down pretty low. I checked and they don't have the 28s at the moment though... just 25.

I must have ordered over £1000 worth of stuff from Wiggle in the past year or so and I've not once remembered Quidco/TCB :p

Richmond Park was quite pleasant this evening. S
So busy compared to down south! :-P did 3 laps and saw some stag fighting!

Went for yellow jersey insurance in the end. A 2 bike policy worked out a 110 so split it with my mate. Peace of mind if nothing else for the trip.

Only thing now to worry about is getting on the plane, i hate flying! :D

There's a good Tuesday night chaingang from near Richmond park for future. Will take you a little way further out of London, probably nicer than the park.

I'm only here for a 2 day conference so probably won't come back. Forgot my lights stupidlg otherwise would have probably stayed out bit later.

Decided to do my commute run tonight - see what it's like doing it at 7pm rather than 7am. Net result - PR's everywhere. Not too shabby for a middle aged crusty codger. :D

Pesky red lights tho, I never seem to get lucky with them.

edit/ doh, selected the MTB when uploading in error, need to see how to change that.

edit2/ sorted.

Ah fair play. The park is a lot nicer after dark as its closed to traffic, private race track.

I bet! Wasn't too bad earlier. I thought it'd be busier with cars. Probably have a few laps tomorrow and Thursday. Will depend on time available.

Just gotta watch out for deer. :D

They have much more of a tendency to just stand in the road after dark!

Thanks - Ordered, they'll be with me tomorrow. I've never changed a tyre before, I've ordered a couple of extra inner tubes as well, just in case I break any.

Presumably you're carrying spares on your rides anyway? Certainly a necessary skill to learn!

Good job, need to go faster to keep up with this fat old man though ;):D

£86+ in Quidco payments from Wiggle in the last two years, start remembering ;)

I've found as long as you visit Wiggle via Quidco on the same day as your purchase (read: even after completing your purchase), it'll track and be approved.

Not sure if im being sstupid but is there a way to set a timer to go off every 45mins on the Wahoo Elemnt? looking to remind myself to drink/fuel as i think im loosing performance here

Edit: VeloBirmingham. Anyone interested? My riding buddy and his brother seem really interested for some reason... There's lots of hype around it which I fail to see the reasons for, it's a 'RideLondon' ripoff. Equally depending on pricing and availability I may end up doing it with them.

I pre-reg'd for VeloBirmingham last night but reckon it will be eye-wateringly expensive. Goes on sale tomorrow (a year in advance!) yet no prices which smells of the organisers trying to hype it. Band around figures of 30,000+ registrations for 15,000 places and no price - so no time to consider the value of the ride until people are in an entry frenzy to get a place.

Not to mention bits like this:

Do I need to stay in Birmingham the night before the sportive?
Unless you have a Fast Track Entry, you will need to come to Birmingham on Saturday September 23 2017 to collect your race pack and register for the event.

Possible to buy a cassette lockring?

Can't seem to find anything and I think if it's over say £5 then I might as well just get a new cassette as a spare.

I do have a spare and some tiny little tyre levers in my saddle bag and I've watched a youtube video once about how to change a tube. This evening I aim to take the tyres off and put them back on a few times so I've got experience doing it.

A week or so ago I got flagged down by some kids - one of them had a flat - asked if I had a patch and a pump. I obliged and gave them a patch and a pump and a couple of tyre levers then sat back and watched them from a nearby bench.

Jesus they were absolutely calamitous - couldn't get the tyre off, looked several times like they were going to pinch the tube, didn't realise you could hook the lever on a spoke, took the whole tyre off instead of just one side - forgot to remove the ring off the valve and got confused as to why yanking the tube wouldn't bring it away from the tyre. In the end I couldn't bear it any more and I stepped in and did it myself - it was an absolute horror show. At 11 yrs old I could fix a puncture myself, these boys looked about 14 or 15.

Teach yourself Feek, before your first lesson comes enforced when it's -4c dark and piddling down with rain.
