Road Cycling

EDIT - also, discussing any weather that is lesser than 30mph winds and 2 degree's in a negative manner belongs with the pansies.
And on that note, can't wait for my lunchtime commute home (West) and back @ 1pm-2pm.:rolleyes:

40kmph headwind carrying the end of a rainstorm...
swear it took me like 1.10hrs to get home/to work due to snow/ice. Where usual is like 45-50mins
Keep pushing! ;):D
On that note, I have a race in 30 mins, going to get smashed to bits.

Great, well done! Quick delete your post before *they* notice! :o

The indoorsy pansy wansies have declared independence. It is a glorious day.
I propose that we allow them to take the following items to pansy wansy land so we do not have them in the hard men's road thread:

Rapha
Triathlon
Disc Brakes
Lidl
Commuting
Bike Lights

More space for talking about leg shaving and crashing in this here real thread.

I crashed while commuting. Where does that leave me?

And me, utterly lost now. I crashed when not commuting on my disc brake road bike... Also crashed/hit when commuting with lights on. Thankfully I wasn't wearing Rapha on either occasion.
Now I am become Death, the destroyer of Pedal Powered. :(
Lol, I hope you're proud of what you've done. See, nothing good comes from all that short socks triathlon lark! :p

Where do I talk about getting my ass bike on my bike and losing weight again? :p

Been a while since I posted. And I've been incredibly lazy. Ended up putting some weight back on. Need some motivation to shift it again!

We can endlessly call you fatty boom boom and request a man with a tuba to follow you around?

You skipped Summer riding?

A bit of it yes :( Not on purpose I should add. More like missed it, rather than skipped it.

Dad was visiting for a bit, so spent time looking after him (He has Parkinson's :( ). Then just got into a bad habit :( Quite disappointed in myself to be honest. Missed a lot of good riding days.

It's so easy to miss a week or two of decent riding & all of a sudden a month has gone by.
I've been rather lazy myself this past month or so. After most of this year clocking up between 100-200 miles a week, I haven't broken 90 mile in a week for nearly 8 weeks. :(

Need to put a bit more effort in for the end of year goals to be ticked off.

I'm not a fan but for a unique look on a unique custom made frame (I'm sure with a hefty price tag?) I'd expect no less!

What more motivation do you need?! ;)

I always find some putting any of my trousers on and laughing at how much slack is in most of the waistbands! :o

Recently threw all of the 36" waists away as there's no chance I'll be back into them as even 32" is now quite slack (just too tight around my thighs so I'm generally in 34"!).

What is wrong with lidl, disc brakes and bike lights?

He has issue for anyone riding anything more than single speed steel frames with leather saddles and cotton clothing.

He's also a highlander. He doesn't ride wearing a kilt so is a contradiction to everything he stands for.

Commuting is a quick fix for that! ;)

None really. I've just become quite lazy! Although, my girlfriend has joined the gym with me (Shock horror the gym in road cycling!). That and the turbo (the other thread I know :p) will help me.

Hey! I have feelings too :(

I got run over riding my bike from my works car park to work which is all of 200m..... I was stationary at the time....

Women. They achieve spectacular things sometimes.
