I'm thinking I'll wait to see if they're reduced in the next sale. 20% off would probably tip me over the edge. :p

Absolutely dying here reading about xdcx's missus messing with his music, and BennyC having Tupperware for his biscuits. Keep it up :D

I used to take Eat Natural Breakfast bars on my rides. Lots of oats. Great on the stomach too. I ate about 12 on the Ride 100 and had no issues.

BennyC cycling about with Tupperware in his pockets to keep Hobnobs fresh and at hand.... I began this reply to damn the action to hell but I can't do so, because it's so British and fantastic. If I was on a ride and someone presented a Tupperware box of biscuits I would be over the moon.

Especially if they were hobnobs! :D

I love a good bagel with peanut butter and jam on a ride! Wrapped up in foil works well on a ride.

Peanut butter and jam bagel. I think I will have been spotted at every single race of 2016 scoffing on one of these about 90mins before the off.
Tin foil is perfect because it keeps snacks fresh and serves as an ideal object to roll up and pelt a mate in the head with.

I raced in a CAT3/4 around June time. The race was way down central Scotland so I stayed at my grannies. I got to the race and parked the car up and realised my PBJ bagel was in her fridge 30 miles away. That was a bad time. Best race of the year though. But I maintain I would have definitely won if I had my PBJ bagel. 100%

HAHA

See xdcx, we're not so different apart from you wearing skirts monday to friday and me saving them for a friday and saturday night.

inb4 carrying as much tupperware as Roady does tools & spares.

You can all watch my tupperware stuffed pockets disappear in to the mist on the climbs in front of you :D
Pffft! I've been carrying minimal for the last 2 months after I broke my Topeak Wedge Medium. Longer rides I carry an extra tube in one of my pockets! :p

My Diverge is one of the Specialized bikes able to fit a 'SWAT' box. Can't find one for non-stupid money, when I do I'll have one!

If your hobnobs are staying dry in your tupperware pockets then you're not pushing hard enough! I get extreme back-sweat-condensation in anything sealed I carry in my pockets... :o
Looks terrible, it's nothing more than a team jersey with badges stuck on the back and pockets. Really expected more from Rapha.

At least the new Sky-Castelli design has a concept of the lines on the jersey symbolising wins.

Snip hyperlink to saddlebag

Do you work for Wiggle or something or just have a hyperlink addiction?:p

In other news, circulatory levels at all time low. 10min/2.5km steady row in the gym this evening and both big toes dead as a door nail until I was home an hour later. Da-fuq. Been wearing bloody thermal socks all day/week too.

Only wish there was a way to post links as referrals and I could retire ;)
Has anyone here had laser eye surgery?

I keep thinking it'd be nice to cycle without prescription inserts.
I had LASEK (Wavefront) with a company called Ultralase back in 2003. Had pretty bad short-sightedness and beat the odds given to get 20/20 vision (only 30% chance of success). Very impressed with the before & after care but it wasn't cheap...

A couple of years ago I noticed my eyesight deteriorating, asked opticians if it was 'old age' (I was 34) but it seems not, some of the short sightedness is creeping back. So I need glasses again for driving/cinema/TV kinda things (even more so when tired). Still, 10+ years of almost perfect vision!

I'd have the operation again without a second thought, it wasn't painful, just uncomfortable for a couple of days. Things are probably much cheaper and easier now but I would stick with Ultralase, or maybe Boots. I did around 5-6 years of research on it before the first time and waited until Wavefront was available with them.

Anyone ridden with Ross and any idea how his 24h is going?
