I don't think I'm keen on the brown.

I think I'm going to have to cancel, probably take the Giant instead and then I've got £170 up my sleeve for upgrades.

I wasn't keen, but it was so much cheaper at the time over the White one, which I didn't like much either and its grown on me tbh.

Good plan, upgrades are the way forward :)

Wheels can go in mixed metals at the recycling centre. Some also have a place for tyres, but general waste if not.

if they're not completely worn out you may have a local bike reuse charity that could use them though
 
My local recycling centre doesn't recycle tyres apparently.

Oh yes, the wheels are most definitely worn out! Over 6600 miles in all weathers.

I'm finally giving my neglected single-speed commuter some TLC with a new chain, chainring, freewheel and wheelset.

As the owner of a white bike, I can vouch for the fact it's a terrible decision. It will never look properly clean - ever! :(

All my future bikes will be black I think.
 
It's purely to show what it will look like in 6 months time for the majority of people who purchase it in the United Kingdom of Great Britain.

What is it you don't like about your Boardman? I'm all for buying stuff (just ask my wife...) but I'm struggling to see what you would gain with the Defy 1.
