Road Cycling

If you're in Munich visit BikeDress really cool shop. We're based not far from the Austrian border usually in Schliersee and have only ridden locally in that area and not particularly far afield but it was nice (and challenging) enough last time. Got the capacity to go much further afield now.

Wouldn't be a short drive bout 90-120 mins I expect, though some of the guys at the store above were saying they ride out that way on the weekends and knew some of the climbs we'd done.
Cool. I may check that out. Not sure where we'll be going exactly but good chance I can get picked up / dropped off around Austrian border anyway. I just stalked your Strava and found a few of your rides :p

My SearchFU was a little too good. This one works?
That one works!

There are some lumpy bits by Fischbachau, Bayrischzell has some good climbs on either size and of course Spitzingzee will get you huffing and puffing. Quite nice to be up in the mountains with some fab views. Take care though as there are cows wandering about on the hillside :D

We rode over to Tegernesee which has a nice long drag through Kreuth to take you up in to Austria, that's about as far as we got. Hoping to do make a day of it and do a long loop round this year :)

Great, another thing to worry about as a cyclist!

Cameras. Cameras everywhere! Although not much cop if they're frame mounted...

Much could be said of riding an %unknown% kinda frame rather than something flashy and obvious, but thieves always gonna thief!

That's just pure assault! To be honest I'm hardly surprised, we're seen as a target on the roads by many, rather than an equal road user or human being. I've had a few closer passes than usual since the warmer weather arrived, not to mention an increase in the stupid overtake-before-anchors-on-last-minute-turn brigade.

So so hot & humid here today, far too hot for rewiring a patch panel. I guess it's a prelude to thunderstorms tomorrow! I'm at a training course so not riding, thankfully! Although it does mean I need to get on the turbo later... Although in this heat it's sounding like a stupid idea!? May head out instead, just need to dig my lights out as doubt I'll be back until 9:30/10pm-ish. Fingers crossed get out with a mate on friday for 20-30, then I'm intending on riding the easy club ride on saturday morning for 35/40 miles before heading out for another 30-40 solo afterwards as my last big block of last minute training before my first attempt at 100 miles on the 16th. It's going to break me!

I reckon this is the same group of kids that go around on mopeds and steal motorbikes. Probably people are becoming too wise to that bicycles are now an easy target and even easier to transport away.

I saw a two mopeds both two-up heading across the fields in Richmond Park the other week. Neither had numberplates! My work security chased two kids on a moped off the site the other week :/

Looks like my CX bike was more damaged than I thought. New RD required. Just trying to get Evans to price match CRC so I can pick the RD up tomorrow and use it on Fri/Sat.

Nice. Thanks for those. I'll look into it.

I'll likely be dragged into some mountain biking as well!

Basically this - in a left turn only lane, sat in a lorry's blind spot, then stay in the lorry's blindspot and try to blame someone else for their idiotic behaviour.

You serious?

He's in a left turn only lane then blame the lorry driver.

@Jono - Aye you can't beat being stupid.

Just like the guy saying he caught it all on camera.

I did not say the cyclist was not in the wrong. But that does not mean that he should pay for his life by making a mistake on the road. I ask again what have you hoped to achieve by posting this?

It's a classic troll post.

The point is obviously missed by you.

Wrong lane and poor judgement - blames others for his mistakes

As for trolling - lol

Saw this shared via Facebook, cyclist is an absolute idiot as are the others that stopped. Whether he's in the right or wrong is irrelevant, what's relevant is that he's still alive, luckily.
