I use google maps on my phone. does the job

Please consider your responses before posting them jonney, you can't exactly compare the two for various reasons - lack of sensors without using specific software, cost of a smartphone compared to head unit and battery life (to name a few).

NICE.

i will incest in one then. seems great.

im trying to be nice here. sorry if i was wrong in my post
You came across as arrogant and sarcastic - especially as I'd tried to expand my answer to at least include some legit reasons why a dedicated head unit is better than a smartphone.
not many have me on ignore.
You've one more now, it's just safer for me as every time you post I generally get wound up. I'll admit that's my problem and not yours - it's just safer for my sanity (and to protect me from FT's bad language ban hammer!).

Set a new record today  ...for time taken to fix a flat at the side of the road :( :o

Felt the tell tale clunk as rim hit tyre with no air in between. Empty lane with a wide verge so could have been worse. Found the little stone that penetrated the tyre, new tube in. So far so good. Hook up the CO2 and it gasses out but the tyre doesn't go up. Thought I didn't have the connector on properly and fired off another one. Again the tyre doesn't go up. Damn it. Hooked up the mini pump to the adaptor and despite pumping away like mad the tyre stays flat. I'd used a repaired tube so assumed it was no good. Tyre back off, tube number 2 in, tyre back on and still it won't go up.

So, minor panic... lets have a look at the pump. The bloody chuck (as Birzman call it) didn't look quite right, turns out it had come un screwed about 3/4 of a turn and the air was just coming straight out and not even making it to the valve. I didn't even know it could unscrew

Got it pumped up, wheel back on, jumped back on the bike with auto pause showing TWENTY EIGHT MINUTES! Thoroughly cheesed off I cut my ride from just over 40 miles to just under 30 and headed straight back.

I've only had one other puncture with my Pro 4 E's before and that one split the tyre clean in two. This one was a tiny little flint which I was a bit disappointed managed to find its way through.

Knee warmers last couple of mornings :'( Very sad times! This wind is brutal at the moment, hopefully back end of the month will be better as I've got a week off.

Still in shorts, but knees were nippy this morning. I had a long top on though. Not full winter one, but long and warm. Might switch to non fingerless gloves too.

Reminds me, need to order some new socks.

http://www.segmentninja.com/map is suggesting the same old segments that have wind assist at the mo, but the breeze is a bit stronger than average.

Might wear the bargain Altura Peleton Transformer (from Merlin) today, to see if ~15C in breezy conditions does not result in "boil in the bag" hill climbing.

Strong winds from the west here the last couple of days, have been tempted to head out for a segment effort or two but with the rain showers also around I've headed for shelter instead! Dry all day today again with the winds and I've woken up with my shoulder f%%ked and can barely turn my head. Need to rest it later rather than jumping on the turbo as I'd planned, gah! Really want to get an FTP test done for a result before I lose much fitness (summer riding is over, all big weekend planned rides are done & baby about to arrive). Might be a task for the weekend if I don't head out in the rain for any group rides...

Giving segment ninja a look Steve, thanks :)

Have been wearing knee warmers for months! Basically any temperatures below 17 degrees really... So most mornings, even in the summer! I do have varying thickness of them though (and I generally wear them more than leg warmers due to short leg syndrome)!

Full fingered gloves are the same but I have 6 pairs of varying thickness (2 deep winter, 2 spring/autumn, 2 light ones), whereas I only have 3 pairs of fingerless (1 'good', 1 commuting & 1 random pair).

Have actually worn 'winter shorts' (thermal, windproof) the last couple of days and a thicker windproof jersey today. Cooked slightly at lunch yesterday as it wasn't as cold+windy as forecast! :o

Haha, how annoying! At least you know about it before being stuck in the snow/sleet/hail at some point.

The removable head on my old pump was similar, it'd bleed air unless done up stupidly tight but being plastic screwed onto metal it'd gradually work loose from vibration being carried on the frame. After the first couple of times I used plumbers tape & mole grips to get it majorly sealed on there (figured I'd never need it for a schrader valve).

Again i apologise as that was not my intention at all
