Apologies OMS & oli for the mixup! :o

My socks have arrived. Woop.

So on the Rapha stuff, what bib range come with the godlike chamois? Tempted... #fatass
I wouldn't invest in expensive Rapha shorts, if you're planning on losing lots of weight mate! Then again, more training = lose weight = more cake = some bench pressing & squats = more weight = same!? :D

Super effort & chapeau! Apologies for getting you mixed up with OMS, I'm getting senile lol
Which pedals is everyone using?

Bought some R540s from Amazon to give them a go but they turned up as "Light Action". No real idea how that compares to the standard R540s and they look a bit tacky with LIGHT ACTION written over the front. Just wanted to give SPD-SL a go to start but unsure if I should return these for something better.
Just changed to Look Keo's and enjoying them more than SPD-SL. Although my commuting now only involves 2-3 unclips, my previous commuting (with SPD-SL) usually had 8-10 and they really bugged me after a while. People said Keo's were easier to clip in-out of. They are, but only marginally. The big plus I've found is the Keo Max 2 pedals I'm using have a fairly flat bottom and the combination with the Keo cleat means you can easily pedal unclipped with the pedal reversed. SPD-SL I could never put much power through like this and the pedal/cleat combo was very 'slippy' (leading to several shin-eggs).

I do have a set of well worn R540's if you wanted some?

(I was only keeping them as I don't have 2 sets of Keo pedals yet for 2 bikes but do have 2 sets of shoes. I kept SPD-SL cleats on my other pair of shoes. It's very unlikely I'll refit my SPD-SL pedals to my Giant unless I get any problems with my Diverge).

In other news my Wahoo Elemnt decided to install the firmware update I'd chose to ignore before starting my ride... right before the end of the 4th climb :(<snip>
I did this at the weekend too at our post club ride coffee stop... A woman sat behind the window tucking in to her breakfast wasn't best pleased :p:D

That's a bit of an oversight with firmware updates

Pushing too hard before a coffee lol?!
just ordered Long Sleeve Brevet Jersey in Large. will see what it's like when it arrives, also Long Sleeve Jersey.
Linky? I don't see much of a deal on them. I always liked the Grey/white/yellow Brevet that had a yellow Gilet combo...

It looks like the freehub has come away from the hub itself, the gap looks huge and there looks to be a threaded part there? Will it screw back on?

I was tempted to try those Look pedals too... might just have to order them and see how it goes! Thanks for offer of R540s but not feeling so keen on Shimano now aha.

Not exactly road cycling but i've booked onto a taster session at National Cycling Centre for this weekend :) Wanted to try my hand at some track-cycling for a long time but actually sorted it out this morning :p

TT bikes with normal wheels always look hilarious!
Lol yup! H plus howmanyspokesson

Awesome, let us know how it goes!

My problem was using them commuting with multiple unclips. I came from straight SPD, doublesided, so it was always going to be a hard transition. SPD for traffic commuting are WIN. But so much float, not that strong with a very small surface area, so when putting any power down I now wouldn't go back to them - unless I decide ride more trails (totally possible!).

I really enjoyed how firm blue SPD-SL cleats felt on my 'best' pair of shoes! My Keo's are not as firm, but then again I've got greys so the float is very similar to how yellow SPD-SL's feel.

Is there a little bluetooth cycling computer that links to Strava on my phone?
I just want it to show Strava data on a small screen on my bars.
Having my phone on the bars is a bit unwieldy!

My google-fu has failed so far :(

I though perhaps i could use my samsung gear2, but this also does not exist :(

Garmin Edge, Wahoo Elment?

I think I'll get a bit smaller, but I'm always going to have the same main frame size. My legs have bugger all fat on them, it's just the upper part of me :p the legs have had to carry the rest of me around all this time haha

On bibs, I got some Northwave black bib shorts and top (I basically liked the top design so got some bibs to match) in the CRC sale. Wore them this morning and they're just too damn slippery. Nearly came off the saddle about 10 times!

All of the sex face

Does not compute :p unless you absolutely mash it up long climbs...
grudas?! Climbs?! Trololololol :p;)
Massive overkill! I just want a small screen to show strava data from my phone :( It seems its simply does not exist...
Garmin 200 or Garmin 20 would also do similar, but they are 'actual' data, rather than data reported from Strava on smartphone (which is inaccurate compared to these type of GPS/GLONASS units).

#warface
The set of Northwave Logo I have are similar, they seem slippery compared to other shorts. Fabric feels less elastic and more lycra. Don't think I fell off the saddle though! Bad form! ;)

If you need info from sensors and live Strava segments then straight away you're looking at the ELEMNT, 520, 810, 820 and 1000. Total overkill really - they're all a total replacement for your smartphone being sat on your bars...!
