Popped to the Trek store this afternoon for my fit which in hindsight probably wasn't really needed and in the search for 'optimisation' has done more harm than good

*Should add they were pretty impressed with how it was with my own setup*
After 2 40m & 1 75m rides I was quite comfortable (100mm stem). Though we made the following changes:
- Levelled my uneven hoods
- Moved my hoods further down so they're flush with the tops of the bars & more accesible on the drops (they were a bit high)
- Dropped 5mm stem spacer
- Saddle angle decreased as I've had some discomfort and should coincide with the spacer drop.
- Saddle height unchanged
Sounds wonderful but I had the most uncomfortable 30 miles home I've had in a long time. Generally I've always got my position to that 'sweet spot' without any hassle and should have just kept it as it was
Bars & hoods felt like they were falling away and no matter how much back extension I went in to it was uncomfortable. I ended up tipping the bars up slightly after 10m (in a bid to bring the hoods closer as my arms were fully extended) and then shortly after realised my saddle had plenty of room to come forward. As it happens it had been refitted in excess of the min/max mark and was now fitted to the physical limit on the rails, so further back than it was originally. Talk about being stretched out

Shunted the saddle forward which helped to some degree but by this point toes in both feet had started to go numb and some 'cyclists palsy' was evident in my left hand which I've never experienced before. Grip pls respond.
I think I'll keep the 110mm stem as my saddle was as far back as it could have been so bringing it & my weight a little further forward over the bike shouldn't be a hinderance, though will negate any extra reach it would have added. Tweaked my bars so the tops that run in to the hoods are angled ever so slightly up rather than parallel to the ground as it's what I'm used to and is comfortable.
Still, belter of a day for it. 26 degrees and blue skies.
