Robocain - Robocop 2 robot

Weird coincidence; just got back in from dropping the missus of at work (Equality gotta luv it. :)) last song I heard on the radio (2) was "The Candyman" sang by Sammy Davis Jr. Woe and behold first thing I see on the OcUK forum? This thread. :)

"The Candyman can." :D
All the very best.

If i had the cash i'd make you an offer you simply couldn't refuse.

You're not the only one. Awesome skills, I love a well made gun, the best I've had my hands on is a custom Holland & Holland, but to have a fully hand made one would be supreme! :D

Out of my price range though. Can't wait to see more of this project.

Just noticed this thread.

Needless to say I've subscribed and I want to wish you all the best buddy.

Awesome, awesome stuff :D
Keep it up! :)

Thanks for the continued kind words and support guys! :D

Yeh i hope one day an oil barron will visit me with his cheque book.

Not sure if anyone has asked you this yet but what will be your next project or what other project are you wanting to do?

I have about 800 hours more to do, I need to remain focused on this for the moment and not let my mind wander.

You ask, you get:

You know the airsoft guns, do you have to get them certified or something that they aren't real weapons/too strong?

the law isn't very clear on this, but the overall interpretation is that a semi-automatic or fully automatic projectile weapon that fires with a muzzle energy of over 1.35 joules (roughly 373FPS with the standardly used .2 gram bbs) it's a section 5 restricted weapon, akin to a handgun, machinegun, hand-grenade etc...

for bolt-action projectile weapons, they are classed as air-rifles if they fire over 1.35J, and classed as (i think, Von Smallhousen or feek'll need to confirm this) Class 2 weapons, like rimfire and centerfire rifles if they fire with a muzzle energy of more than 12ft-lbs (16.3 joules)

under 1.35J, they're classed as "safe" and so their only technical classification, as far as the government is concerned is that they're R.I.F's (Realistic Imitation Firearms)

If Candyman were to use these at an airsoft site he'd be required to get them checked but i suspect that Candyman doesn't use them much - they're too beautiful!
