Rocket lake leaks

Ouchies fair bit more expensive than 5800x

That is the retail price in €, seems to be $484.99 in USD. Lots of other places have them listed at the same prices, and it was the price I was told a few days ago by a trade supplier. So it seems that they are setting 11th Gen up as a premium product, and 10th Gen as the entry level, much like Ryzen 3xxx and 5xxx is now.

Well looks like those waiting to see Intel save the day, for a change.... not happening.

setting 11th Gen up as a premium product, and 10th Gen as the entry level
Entry level has a higher core count than premium :D

Oh Intel, you should've just not bothered with Rocket Lake at all. The second you realised backporting the design to 14nm meant a core count regression you should've just pushed everything into Alder Lake. Think of the marketing potential of being first to PCIe Gen 5 and DDR5. "Innovate" hybrid core design, you could've pushed this as a truly next-gen product stack.

But alas, all we have is idiots like Dave talking utter ***** and the rest of us with half a brain just laughing at you.

and then intel found out they shave to help Microsoft for 2 years to fix its windows cpu resource scheduler or alder lake will be slower than Rocket lake :D

Or they might blame AMD for setting the bar at its current height!
So Intel's prices are AMD's fault. :)
People interpret things through their own set of values and biases.

In general, pricing is strongly influenced by supply and demand.
So high prices might even suggest low supply.
But the i9 has the same core count as the i7, so the i7 is the more noteworthy pricing wise and the more sensible within the range.

It looks Intel won't improve its competitive position - actually we might see AMD pulling even more ahead from 80% DIY market share to 85 or 90%.

Yikes... that’s bold pricing if true.

still, we know you can price a product almost as you wish at the moment and it’ll still sell out somehow.

Woah! Those prices are way high. 8c16t cpu for £600 that’s mental.

has intel just lost the plot or some thing. But I guess people will still buy them.

guess those hikes matches the IPC gain...but each new SKU other than the i5 is inferior to the previous gen SKU in terms of performance to £

Core i5-11400F $179.99

so about £120 and it should outperform the r3600 nicely Games wise of course

but chances are they will do it at £180
