Rocket lake leaks

Would like to know this too, my Maximus Hero XIII is getting fed up waiting for it's 11900k!

@Gibbo - any word on pre-orders stock for the 11900k please? :)
Got any pics of your board dave as thats the one i was looking at would be nice to see proper pics of it in tbe flesh

You do know you wont notice any difference between gen 3 nvme and gen 4 apart from in benchmarks mate i looked into this where you will notice difference is shifting large files around not in gameing

There was a thread on here showing the differences between these and sata ssd and wasnt noticeable in gameing shifting large files there was and in benchmarks.

obviously its up to you what you buy mate and hopefully youll enjoy them ive got 2x gen 3 nvme drives on amd i to use my pc for gameing i could have got gen 4 as my board supports it but theyre more expensive and for what i do with my pc i wouldnt benefit the good thing about nvme is lack of cables keeps the build tidy i am also keeping my eye on the new intel cpu's but some of the early benchmarks arnt looking that good and has the 10 series beating them
Anyway what ever you choose to do is upto yourself mate just enjoy it

Z590 or not, Simon, I really don't understand why you want one of these things. They are literal, evidenced garbage. I'd seriously consider just sticking with 10th gen and dropping in a 10900K.

Or, y'know, sell that Z590 board and get a 5800X instead, unless knowingly and wilfully spending money on inferior products that even the producing company has no faith in is your jam.

Ah just let them be. You will never be able to switch everyone, some people will always fanboy to one brand or another. Plus Intel needs all the sales it can get, we don't want Intel going bankrupt and leaving no competition in the market

That's an unfair statement. You could apply that to literally EVERYTHING, power supplies, Graphics cards, memory etc etc. Whether you buy Intel or Amd the fact of the matter is that both platforms offer blisteringly fast performance that only 2 or 3 years ago was only available on the HEDT platforms. There's far too much shaming of peoples purchasing choices on this forum these days ......

It's not about switching people, because that's how arguments start. It's about discussion and, for me at least, understanding the mindsets of people. I'm genuinely curious as to why some people do the things they do.

I'm a cynical, yet caring soul, and I see Mr. Belmont here and my brain can't work out if mental, ill-informed, incredibly wealthy, fanboy troll or some combination of these in knowingly drop your hard-earned on a empirically garbage product.

He won't post pics lol, just like he won't get the 11900k
This is what i think aswell mate ive now asked him twice for pics of board like i predicted when he was asking gibbo on the thread when we can pre order i said if gibbo answered his next question would be hows the stock with the 11900k and today hes asked that aswell now its the only hope he has left after all the trolling hes done so if theyre instock all we wiill here is amd paper launch lol

And that's a totally overblown response, somewhat missing the point that is being discussed.

Rocket Lake compared to Comet Lake and Zen 3 is hot garbage. How is that an unfair statement? Is the empirically-evidenced truth suddenly "unfair" in this limp-wristed, social media snow flake age we live in?

In isolation, yes Rocket Lake is a fast platform. But it's slower than its predecessor and slower than it's competitor, yet costs more money. And is being proven as such. So why then would you actively choose Rocket Lake over the other two? That is the point. And asking that question and discussing the matter is not "shaming" anybody's purchases, however confusing or ridiculous they may be to some people.

To be honest i think with the 11 series its the gen 4 addition i was looking at building a pc with the 11 series but have decided to leave it because of benchmarks but am now looking at building a intel pc with a 10 series cpu wich looks a lot better compared to 11 series and a z590 board i have a amd pc already but want to have a mess about with a intel pc and will then pass it on to one of my kids or keep it and pass the amd one on
