Rome 2 : Total War

What are the Steam rules on this. If I did take a laptop, installed steam and then installed RTW2 on laptop, then came home and installed the game on my gaming machine.

Is this allowed?

I'm pretty sure you can install your games on any number of machines provided they are for your own personal use.

I've never had any issues with playing empire:total war on laptop and pc.

You'll be running one steam account at a time, on separate computers, so no issues will arise.

If rome has cloud saves, then you'll be in a better position.

Get it from Steam to be sure to get the free pre-order stuff. Also I'm sure you can pre download it from Steam a few days before release. I doubt the download will be 35GB, probably compressed at least a little bit.

Unless you have a limited GB/month Internet connection in which case... DVD :).

I can get it on dvd including the pre relased stuff from a large online retailer. I'm limited to 300kb/s so would take me DAYS to download haha!

Plus I'm getting back from holiday on release day so wouldn't have the chance to preload...

I ordered it from Sainsburys for £26.99 about a month ago. I don't know whether they still have it for that price (they had a 10% off game pre-orders code i think)

Used £20 of nectar points as well so only costing me £6.99 :D

God knows whether it will get here on time though. Never used Sainsburys entertainment for pre-orders before!

Why do we have this month delay before the game release? :(

From all the videos ive been seeing on youtube from PCGamer etc, the game looks ready as they are playing through the campaign!

Heads up, this game is on GMG for £23.99!!!! Pretty Awesome Price....

I've also got a question relating to cpu usage. I was told that Rome 2 Fall of the Samurai uses only single core, which I find hard to believe when you consider up to 8000 combatants are on screen during battles. Will the new game (Rome 2) be properly optimimsed for multicore usage. If so is it multithreaded too?

There's no delay at all, it's still set for release on the day that they said it would be.

That doesn't mean its ready.
