Yeh i think you are right

I was just shocked to read it. What if you hadnt checked your emails or were away until the day after it was released! I would be fuming!

Oh and waiting for this to install from dvd onto a mechanical harddrive......

 
Amazon haven't even delivered mine. Ordered last week, dispatch was delayed until yesterday because I'm a Prime customer and they aren't meant to break street date. They then used First Class delivery instead of a courier as it's a small item. Had the day off today too - back at work tomorrow.

Take them to court, bury them as a company.
 
Wooow. I had to defend against a Simarian (or whatever they're called) assault on one of my cities with nothing but a garisson... I was outnumbered 2 to 1 so decided to let them fill out into the streets and bottleneck them, which I did, very effectively. After 3 or so minutes 70% of their men were dead and I still had most of mine, yet the whole time they were sitting on the capture point, and the second they captured it the game ended and the after battle report said I'd lost all my men! Did they commit suicide when the flag was taken or some bull****?

Fuming. What an idiotic mechanic.

Frustrated with the capture point mechanic or that the garrison was wiped out? I'm not sure what else you expect to become of the default garrison units when you lose the city, I'll reserve judgement on the multiple capture points thing until I've actually played the game.
 
Low Resolution Texture when running on Extreme

Hello everyone,

As this issue is growing on it, seems most of the cases fall under this category and so should try the following solutions:

If you are experiencing low resolution textures when running on extreme, its most likely that you don’t have enough video memory.

You can force an override by ticking the unlimited video memory tick box in the advanced graphics settings however this may impact performance.


Another thing, the vegetation alpha is an option that should be set to off for all but the most powerful rigs.

A workaround has been found that could help some of you: by setting your game in windows mode you shouldn't experience texture issues any more.


If you still have this issue, please update your post stating you have tried these solutions and that it hasn't worked. If it did work could you please update your post to state that instead?

Hasnt this always been the case Total War games :confused:

Also, i will tell you want happened to your men. They are dead.

Yep my DVD was supposed to arrive on Saturday but didn't arrive 'til Monday. If I hadn't just finished (literally!) putting my new rig together for this game I would be even more annoyed. Just installing Rome now...
