I don't see how anyone can have played it enough to have come up with a verdict, I just played a bit of the prologue, performance seems ok but it looks worse than MTWII unmodded to me - so I'm guessing the graphical settings aren't stucking at Ultra..

Or rather hoping

played on 3750k and 670 No problems

Runs on extreme more or less with stuff like blurring off.

Plays just like any other TW game with some improvement/change. I am enjoying it.

Ship ramming is fun, first time I did it my general died on the impact

So CA can't optimise cpu usage at all. If the camera goes over more than 5 or so units, gpu usage drops dramatically (down to 50%) as does framerate. As soon as you look away gpu usage pegs back to 99%

They finally seem to be getting all 4 cores working as well but yet all 4 cores running on a 4.4ghz 2500k cant manage 10 or so units in Rome 2 just standing about?

Bull**** to that.

My game is fine at max settings with alpha foliage and unlimited memory off. That's playing at 2560x1440 on my 2500k with 670 SLI.

I'm playing on an i5 at 3ghz, 8gb ram and on a 6970 and the game seems to be running fine on extreme.

What am I doing wrong? :confused:

You won't be running actual extreme, no chance.
I can get like 2.3GB VRAM usage on Extreme.

Been waiting for player opinion on this. So what's the verdict? I see a few people moaning about the UI and performance issues.

watch your framerate drop 50% when you hold down space bar to see movement etc.

wahts so hard about rendering a few directional arrows etc?

Runs really well for me, quite surprised given the negative comments here. The only thing I have switched off is that alpha grass setting (which is a shame because it looks a lot better, but really kills performance).

Well, all I did was click the extreme button and turn on vsync.

Seems like people on the weaker end of the hardware scale are getting better performance than those on the higher end. Why do so many games managed to do this? :confused:

Ordered the same day as you, dispatched Monday night, didn't show today and no DLC code..... sucks big time. I've already complained but they don't give a monkeys

I've been waiting for a while for the next whql Nvidia drivers however it been so long Rome 2 is out now. So does that mean even more of a delay to get out a performance driver?
