Rooney - 2 B Sold

Just wondering that if money is the main issue, why doesn't he sit tight and then buy out the remaining year on his contract (rumoured to be £5m) and then he can sign for the highest bidder (makes no difference who Man U do or don't want to sell him to) and get a huge signing on bonus thrown into the mix.

I do agree that the squad Man U have at the moment is a lot worse than most other squads they've had in recent years but as many people have said they were only 1 point from winning the title last season so it's not as if they collapsed completely.

well it can be taken 2 ways

one that players are like cattle, and you can heard them from one field to another but one persons cattle might not be what you expected it to be... Carrick, for instance.

or that the grass is greener, but why he didnt just say that i dont know

but that was soley on the back of Rooney dragging us bit by bit up the mountain, which is why he said he wants to leave, because he doesnt want to have to do that solo again.

and looking at this season, you have to agree/or can see what he said is true....without him playing 110% we are a million miles off winning the league cosn the rest of the team isnt capable.

I absolutely agree, but having said that it does say a lot for Fergie's manmanagement skills that the team (even with Rooney being so poor this season) are only 4 points from Chelsea, imagine where they would be without Fergie and is Rooney privvy to some information (about him retiring?) that the rest of us aren't?

By the way I'm a Liverpool fan so it's not easy to admire Fergie but anybody who doesn't either isn't a football fan or just ignorant:rolleyes:

man management, or having over £130million of players on the pitch at any one time?

Rio (30), Vidic (8), Evra (6), Valencia (17), Nani (12), Carrick (18), Berbatov (30), Herman (7)...plus the rest (anderson etc)...

any team who has that value of players would have to have bought terribly not to be near the top teams though surely?

That's all very well, I imagine there are lots of footballers who want to do the same.

It doesn't stop him being a mercenary.

Players show passion in different ways, running about doesn't make you more passionate then other players for example.

I was referring to it being a passion, im not saying he isnt a mercenary, infact the fact that he isnt passionate about the club only makes that fact look stronger, the point i was making was the same as yours, passion is shown in many ways, and his is what i stated ;)

This thread is why I dislike 99% of the Man United fans on here, so two faced.

I find it funny that Evra and Vidic are Man Utd's best players, and are two of their cheapest players. :p
