rooney's red card incident (video clip)

We'd probably all accept that if there had actually been a stamp.

Gilly :), stop making a fool out of yerself, rewatch the video, there is a 100% clearly stamp from rooney, he knew what he was doing, it was in no way accidential

but you all seem to forgot that NONE of this would have happened if Rooney had controlled his temper and didn't stamp on Carvalho's nuts.

In your opinion he did, myself and many others think not. He lost his balance was trying to get away with the ball aswell as trying to get his footing and had a players legs round his leg. It looked like it was an accident to me, if you don't think so that's your opinion.

Clearly friendly? Have to disagree. Looks very unfriendly to me, and looks as if rooney is trying to control his temper at that stage, well played to him not reacting.

To me it looked like more surprise/shock at what Ronaldo did and said to him...caught him off guard as im sure Rooney would have given him a mouthful...plus wasnt Rooney talking to another player so his concentration wasnt on Ronaldo.

1. Don't call me a fool
2. I've seen the replay many times, there's no intent and no stamp
3. There's plenty round here agreeing with me, maybe you should have a look at yourself. Those in glass houses...

we can argue all we want about Ronaldo's possible bad sportmanship (going up to the ref) etc, but you all seem to forgot that NONE of this would have happened if Rooney had controlled his temper and didn't stamp on Carvalho's nuts. england would probably have been awarded the fault, continued with 11 men and probably would have won against portugal.

conclusion: rooney is at fault for everything

he's a great player and i do admire his football skills, his work-rate etc, but he deffo needs to go on some sort of anger management program and work on his attidude on the pitch

Didnt Beckham have an attitude problem when he first started out but yet hes turned out ok in the end. I agree Rooney needs to keep his temper in check and im sure with time, as he gets older he will become more smarter and not allow little ****'s like Ronaldo wind him up.

I think he's already improved massively. That push was absolutely nothing, 2 years ago he'd probably have sparked him out.

I've seen the replay many times, and I feel that it was a stamp.

Yeah, mostly frustrated -- and dare I say biased -- England fans.

That's what makes football great though, two people can watch the exact same thing and come to completely different conclusions! :)

I don't want Ronaldo back at Utd. Before the game at the pub people were saying, "Ronaldo, what a ****" and I defended him and didn't join in with any of the chanting going on, but after he completely sold Rooney down the river that was it. My voice was louder than anyone there, much to the surprise of my mates. That wink just made me want to chin him.
