RTX 4070 12GB, is it Worth it?

I don't really care about making a hardware comparison, I just wanna play the damn game. The 4080 does it, the 4090 does it, the xtx does not. Which is a major flaw when you are targeting the high end, which the xtx does. Midrange cards failing in rt is fine, but your flagship? Icky
A fair comparison would be to wait for FSR3 and Nvidia's frame generation to go up against each other.

Hopefully, it will be possible to test only the frame generation (at 1080p, 1440 and 4K) of both companies, with no upscaling involved.

I must admit, buying an RDNA3 card at the moment is a bit of a gamble, considering that FSR3 is not yet released. But it's only really an issue when playing games with RT on.

But you don't need fg to play the game. 4k dlss q manages over 60 FPS with a 4080 and over 80 with a 4090.

It might look the same to you, but it can't be equated to playing at 4K native. The load on the GPU is much less.

If you are happy with 4K dlss quality, great, why worry about the 4K native performance?

I just posted a video in the last of us showing that dlss q is better than native....

Without even watching it is it telegraph pole cables? Are they pointing at telegraph pole cables that look like they have been drawn over the originals with black crayon and creaming "SeE dLsS is bettereRer than natiVe"

It would take you less time to watch it than it did to make this post

Anyways, you are too far gone into nvidia bashing, no amount of facts will change your mind so, keep bashing.

I don't need to, they all do it like a canned Nvidia script and every DLSS game i have paints telegraph pole cables in like they are 6 inches in diameter to stop them going jaggy.

Copium galore

Then put your money where your mouth is. I post 3 videos, 2 in native and one in dlss, you find out which one is which I'm sending you my 4090 (it's a promise). What happens if you don't?

Don't do that, someone no longer on this forum already owes me thier PC.

This argument is a bit irrelevant, because in a few years people will want to play at 8K (presumably upscaled).

So, the resolution being upscaled from will likely be 4K or higher. So, 4K (native) is hardly the stopping point for improvement in graphics.

Sure he does buddy. So you can tell dlss from native as long as money is not on the line

OK, let's try it for free then. You choose the game, I'll post 3 videos, youll tell us which one is using dlss. I'll even put telegraph poles in there, it will surely be easy for you to find the right one.

Of course, but the argument is whether or not dlss q is "720p". I'm saying that mostly it's equal and sometimes better than native, and I cannot for the life of me tell apart which one is which. Humbug can clearly tell them apart, he just not willing to. Makes you wonder why doesn't it

Oh you want me to put something up as collateral and if i don't i'm wrong? Has that ever worked since you were 12?

Sure, go ahead, but you're not getting anything of mine and i don't want anything of yours.

No, Im willing to do it for free just to prove you are being disgenius. No way in hell someone that tried dlss claims it's 720p. The vast majority of tech tubers completely disagree with you. My own eyes disagree with you. I'm just giving you the chance to prove us all wrong, and I was willing to throw in a 2000 euro 1440p card as an extra incentive. It's free money - unless you are telling me it's hard to tell "720p" from 4k apart. If you offered me the chance to win 2k by telling 720p from 4k apart I would have said yes before you even finished your sentence.

That's why i'm convinced you are not being honest, ever, you are just playing defense for amd. Which is fine, just don't pretend otherwise

So, about the RTX 4070....
540p? :D

Whatever, I'm not bothered about playing cyberpunk with slightly more realistic puddles, I'm interested in a significant uplift over my 3060ti for around £600 or less, it may be that the 4070 is capable of that, but 12GB still seems stingy for the price and like it won't age well, so I'm gonna hold out till both brands have shown their hands and hoping for a 16GB 256bit 7800XT
