Hi there

Available from 2pm tomorrow:

£589 is MSRP and we expect the MSRP items to sell out extremely quick!
Looks like the previous generation are going to need a price cut then to shift them ;)

A 6950xt at some places with stock looks like a very impressive alternative for no doubt not too dissimilar money.

Gamersnexus compared the RTX4070TI to the RX6900XT/RX6950XT:

At 4K,it again seems to fall behind. It seems to only catch up at lower resolutions. Even DF is saying the same. TPU also show the same:

This is more of a 1080p and qHD dGPU. The RTX3080 was considered more of a 4K dGPU when it was released.

Probably the node shrink with overcharged clocks but puny bus width. The apologists last gen shied away from the 4k data saying the same for the flagship card (qHD dGPU).

It seems to be replicated by a few more review sites. It does appear the small memory bus is the problem. But it is after all an RTX3060 replacement. So it would have been impressive as an RTX4060/RTX4060TI. Instead they took rebranded it as £580 RTX4070,which is over £100 over the RTX3070.

But,but power consumption. But it is less efficient than an RTX4080 according to TPU! :o
Oof......

Lol,we got our own Nostradamus? Have you got a prediction for the Euromillions numbers?! :p

Correct, then the audience went out and bought those high end TVs/monitors with UW OLED etc. and now that extra spec is rather needed. Don't forget the people that were going to get a 4070 as it will be so cheap and be better than a 3090 remember!!

Its not so bad when the 60 series is between the £300-400 range. They have now upped it a tier and want £600-700 for it.

~10-15% more performance for 75% more power drawer and worse ray tracing, and still more expensive?

Also, does the 6950XT have anything as good as DLSS3 yet?

Plus the reviewers, who are scared to get cut off from Nvidia,in a downtrodden way trying to be positive about it. Seriously,2.5 years later,we got RTX3080 level performance(worse at 4K and slightly better under that),a bit extra VRAM,a bit lower power and a bit lower price.

So that means the RTX4060TI is going to be a slightly cheaper RTX3070? What a time to be alive in the PCMR hardware arena!

Your website seems to differ ;) 3070Ti, 3080, 6800XT, 6900XT, 6950XT. When you factor in price/frame why buy the older stuff if the 4070 is a similar performance, uses less power and has newer features?

Yep, all those models are going to be hard to shift with the 4070 out.

The 4070 seems to be a better choice than all of those at their current price points.
