If the allegations are criminality in nature how are dispatches throwing out a programme? Surely it would jeopardise any future trial if one was to happen

This is a lesson to everyone. No matter how comfy you are around people you can never fully trust them.

Channel 4 knew what Brand was like back in the day, and played up to it. They knew about his private life and the drugs. If you watch old videos of him you knew, everyone knew.

Baroque is an musical and architectural style IIRC, maybe typified by lots of ornate elaboration. I'm not a youtuber though so probably totally wrong.

I'm still struggling to come up with a more stupid use of an adjective than "baroque attack" :cry:

Maybe he means attacked to the soundrack of Bach on a harpsichord? Or being hit with a piece of catherdral?

Given his reputation (which he referenced in the first 30 seconds of the video, as much as I could bear to watch) it's pretty obvious what the nature of these allegations are going to be.

Yeah its ultimately down to me being thick and being swayed purely by big words.

Everyone gets reminded how stupid they all are these days. Thankfully we've got enough superior people to keep the rest in check lol.

acting ? was he in a xmas pantomime somewhere, or he's always acted and we never saw Mr Hyde.

Baroque - maybe he meant to say medieval - they didn't assassinate him on social media.

I do not really understand these salacious exposè, especially when sensationalised via TV or print; surely if there is a criminal aspect to this, any and all evidence should be handed to the police to investigate.

I have zero interest in this chump or his meanderings.

I quite like Russell Brand and his content (there, I said it!) It's kinda weird he get so much flak from the left when he's much more left wing than a lot of them and most of his recent work is based on pointing out the corruption and over the top influence of corporations.

I agree for the most part, there's natural disasters, wars, economic shenanigans and all sorts that are way more important than the latest person with power or status to abuse their position.

However I do see if importance in telegraphing this behavior if guilty (in the eyes of the law) to ward off anyone else thinking of being a nonce, rapist, racist etc. Similarly victims knowing that they don't need to suffer in silence is important too.

But this is all driven by clicks, engagement metrics, and revenue. So law and process be damned, there's money to be made.

He's actually very left wings on some things and more right wings on others. He also makes some good points on stuff and also has some what I consider ridiculous opinions on others. Who would've thought that everyone doesn't have to sit completely in one camp or the other!
