Russell Brand.

It’s always the ones you most expect.

I hope they do some interviews with his neighbours:

“Yes, he was always a ****. I suspected it wouldn’t be long before he was on the news”.

Do agree with the sentiment that if there’s an actual crime involved their shouldn’t be media coverage at least until it’s at trial, if not after.

From what I’ve seen the guy is a moron. I don’t see anything to prove otherwise but I guess you are about to post a link to prove it…
Nope, no requirement to prove anything as far as I'm concerned. I just find your framing amusingly revealing.

Not sure Brand falls into that category tbh. It’s easy to say in hindsight. He’s always been eccentric but never creepy and it’s not like he struggled with attractive women.

Never seen his name crop up in threads here or elsewhere when people are predicting who’ll be exposed as a wrongun in the future.

embargo for this is dropping at 3pm apparently so all will soon be revealed.

If it’s Brand and the ‘computer says no’ crew it doesn’t seem quite the earth shattering story they’re talking it up as just likely wrong uns actually being called out as wrong uns!

Ventured back onto Twitter to see what the craic is with this. Interestingly lots (comedians mainly) saying that his current persona was created so he'd have support and noise against MAIN STREAM MEDIA when these allegations finally came out. Something something super injuction also.

I think he did very well with the ladies, certainly back in the day. I used to live just around the corner from Noel Fielding about 16 years ago. I used to see him at weekends walking down to the cafe by Parliament Hill tennis courts and so often he'd have a girl on each arm and he's not what you'd call classically good looking, though he's very funny. Brand was a good looking guy and funny, I can totally see why he'd have been a hit with the ladies.

I guess he did get Katy Perry for abit

The programme tonight, and I assume the newspaper article, is supposedly about multiple comedians.

Edit: I've just looked on the tv guide and now it's saying Russell Brand in Plain Sight.

He's great, I love him. Occasionally I find myself speaking to people who I think might be a bit odd and can't quite tell if I'm dealing with someone actually intelligent, or someone who should probably be kept away from the crayons. I mention Russell Brand and if their face lights up like that Pixar lamp then it instantly removes all doubt.

Brand is a very handy person for this.
Simultaneously a tankie and a fash detector.

Surprise surprise.

So let me guess, it's unnamed women making vague sexual assault accusations from 10+ years ago with no evidence, yet being just plausible enough for people who already don't like him to believe the accusations, and most importantly to damage his character and credibility. It's absolutely nothing to do with his Youtube channel with 6 million followers constantly questioning the US and UK government, defence and pharmaceutical companies with corruption allegations.

I mean I don’t think he should be judged until this has been investigated thoroughly and it will potentially become a criminal case but that’s just pure CT nonsense to think it’s governments trying to cancel him.

He basically says good things about Trump, but you don't think they'd try to cancel him before an election year? lol

Could say similar about Ian Hislop and Private Eye, but still part of establishment no matter how much anyone pretends he isn't.
