Russell Brand.

Do you mean like my wife being a lot older than me?

What's your point here? Where are we going with this?
Well I'm just asking what the threshold is for being "creepy".

23 yo girl with a 40 yo guy? Still "creepy"?
23 yo guy with a 40 yo girl? Still "creepy"?

Where is the line being drawn?

I agree with this mans views and find the shape of his head fascinating.

It's also 1:20am and he's still the main top story on the BBC news website, they've updated the story with essentially nothing at all simply to keep the story at the top for some reason.

At 16 I don't think you have the ability to see or recognise when people are using you, they lack good emotional and social skills. As the girl said she was taken in by the fame and the charisma. TBH I think anyone under the age of 18 should not be seeing someone at 30 because they have social skills and life skills that they can use to (if they choose to) manipulate and hoodwink younger adolescents. TBH I thought 16 years old dating older men had always been a social taboo.

Who approached who?
Did both sides know how old each other were?
Where each of their profiles truly representative of them?
Was this a dating site or Facebook etc?
Why does it matter who approached whom?
Non-dating site.
Neither was misrepresenting themselves.

Weird how it's ALWAYS anti-establishment outsider figures like Russell Brand or I dunno, Andrew Duke of York that attract these allegations, isn't it?

Makes you think, smells like Marxists. These silly women clearly weren’t raped, if they were, maybe they would behave exactly as I would want rape victims to behave down to the exact timings and without trauma, otherwise, they were clearly just asking for it. And anyway, why not go the Police, who are famous for treating rape victims really well and helping.

So one adult approaches another adult online. Neither side misrepresented themselves in age or profile. If, as you seem to assert, it isn't relevant who approached who then I have to assume in your example that there is no imbalance of power or authority etc. So clearly we have two fully informed adults approaching each other. How can that be in any way creepy in your example? So no, not creepy.

Or do you disagree and why?

It matters when drawing arbitrary lines of morality

I used to think half your age + 10 was fine, but now I'm in my 40's I'd rather someone closer to 20 than 40 because most women let themselves go and have far too much baggage past 30

If we want to draw the line at mental maturity then it would have to be over 25 as both sexes don't reach full mental maturity until past that age

Why did Channel 4 not investigate these claims which were not made at the time asks bald idiot.

Much to the delight of rape culture enthusiasts online who infest this forum and hate women.
Should any woman ever accuse you of anything, I know you will plead "guilty" regardless of whether you did it or not. Because to do anything else would be to hate women, and you are the most feminist of all men. Every accuser is a victim. Every accused a monster. Why do we even bother having a trial? Just lock them up.

18 yo with a 30 yo?
16 yo with a 25 yo?
20 yo with a 50 yo?
20 yo with a 40 yo?
All those seem iffy to me.

What's your point?

You seem to disagree with yourself!

When just presented with the numbers (and the assumption that the female was the younger) you clearly had already decided it was iffy/creepy.

So let's say the 30 yo woman approached an 18 yo bloke. Is that different to the 30 yo bloke approaching an 18 yo woman?

I guess what I'm really getting at is what @Minusorange said. It's just arbitrary lines drawn in the sand by each person, without really exploring it in too much detail.

People love a good bit of moral outrage. And nothing seems to stir up moral outrage than a bloke dating a younger woman.

I’ve been accused of things, twice. The first time I was able to show screenshots of deleted WhatsApp messages to my community which clearly proved she was lying, which resulted in the accuser ghosting everyone, claiming that she had found Jesus and her actions were because of a past life trauma, so wanted to start a new life (where she now posts on Telegram about how Donald Trump is secretly still President and Covid is fake). The second time round the accuser, when called out by her own boyfriend who I gave my phone to to read through our correspondence, admitted to people she was having a mental health issue and the so called “pressure” I was putting on her to meet me was all completely in her own head due to her anxieties and I got an apology.

What has that got to do with a man claiming a company should have investigated claims before the claims were made?

Saw this posted on another forum, I didn't realise just how much of a mentalist he was back in the day. Quite amazed he got as far as he did if this was what he was initially like !

In that case I'm quite sure you'll allow due process to give Brand a chance to fight these accusations, and refrain from saying he raped anyone, until that's done..?

Or maybe not?

What are you talking about?

Not only are you cool with adults grooming children online because it’s “teknically legal so ok” but are now asking me to not say something… I haven’t said?

Love how this forum exposes UK male online culture.

No I have not disagreed with myself. You originally asked a very black and white question about ages to which I answered that they seemed iffy. Look up the definition of iffy. It means uncertain. So I then pressed you for more information so I could make a more informed decision.

Iffy does not mean the same as creepy. Please look up what they mean.

It's quite dishonest on your part to strongly imply something and then follow up with, "Actually, I never said that."

The implication of your first post (quoted 2nd) here is fairly obvious.
