Russian airliner missing over Egypt

The Mrs and her friend went to Sharm a few years back, they were afraid to leave their hotel of an evening. Said the hassle, leering and constant cat calling made them feel very uncomfortable.

Anyway, back O/T. Tragic loss of life whatever the circumstances surrounding the plane coming down. :( Would be nice to go a month without a major loss of life this year. Crashes, stampedes, fires, hurricanes, etc.

Indeed, Even 4 weeks without such tragedy would be a welcome respite.

Well this is going to be tedious.

Might be worth remembering this is a thread about 200 people being killed in an air accident, rather than a prime opportunity to point score over RT and rental agreements.

.

The town centre is pretty bad for that, its a constant barrage of bar touts, retailers desperate for a sale and creepy men trying it on with women ,some of the men don't even care if the woman is there with their partner

The resort I stayed in however was very good

Back on topic please, the only thing Muslims have to do with this terrible accident is that the personnel involved; medical, rescue services, police and military people will be predominantly Muslim. They will be doing a horrendously difficult job that in all probability will haunt them for the rest of their lives.

RIP to those lost and respect for those doing that very difficult job.

Hate hearing about any serious loss of life.

RIP and my thoughts to the family and friends. :(

Another large loss of life this weekend, RIP!

PS It's a shame that two people can't see past their own petty arguments to see the tragedy thats occured in the Sinai so I've RTM'd the pair of them!

Jeez, have some respect people! Discussing housing arrangements in a thread about a tragedy like this! RIP to those onboard :(.

I read about it this morning before they had found the wreckage and i hoped there would be some good news to read upon this afternoon, instead, this thread has been trashed by god knows what, i guess i'm glad i never got chance to read the harsh comments that have been deleted.

I guess all i can add to this thread is that i hope the families of those involved can get quick closure.

I'm flying to Auckland in 4 weeks :S.

No, the pilot reported technical difficulties and requested an emergency landing. Clearly never made it to the rerouted airport.

All eyes will be on airbus now and engine manufacturers. After flight data has been analysed

I couldnt imagine turning up to a scene like that and if those reports were right hearing people screaming. I guess they could not do anything about it :(

P.s no need to derail the thread

For safety I wouldn't go near any mainly muslim country if you're a westerner, Literally taking your life into your own hands, It's lunacy.

I don't understand the relevance of your post. The plane had a technical fault of somekind and it crash landed, it wasn't shot down or blown up from a suicide bomber. Maybe keep your offensive posts in threads which cater to it, eh?
