Russian airliner missing over Egypt

RIP to all the people on board.

Seems to be a massive air disaster in the news almost monthly these days.

Im no expert but the video on daily mail definitely looks like some sort of explosion.

I remain speculative until officials release the real cause. As Leon said though, if it was an attack Russia will almost definitely retaliate with force on another level.

I've always thought this looked like a structural failure causing explosive decompression - we'll probably find out soon.
Obviously I'm no expert, but it's happened at full cabin pressure and rather quickly. Other disasters of this nature have been caused by the same.

I doubt they would be allowed to hide things. Its not them who would be investigating anyway. Only thing they may have any worry about is safety checks, records, service etc if it turns out this isn't foul play

Why do people say this? There has been only one other 'massive air disaster' on this scale this year.

The seemingly endless over-reporting of past air crashes, conclusions from investigations of past air crashes, press sensationalism over such things, creating a false impression to some?

I just assumed that you had an issue with what I posted, I'm interested to hear what it might be.

Yeah he's misread a DM article yet again, and taken 'it could have been a bomb' as 'its likely to be a bomb'.

I mean bomb/missile or catastrophic failure doesn't exactly leave a lot else does it....

Well an islamic terror group has claimed responsibility.

Given its an airbus a bombing/missile would probably be better for us than it being a dodgy Russian repair.

RIP to those lost.

And the "aviation expert" they have on the news is awful.
