Ryzen "2" ?

what to hell did i buy ?? Yu consider 2500k a failure ?? WTF Trully best CPU in history of CPUs. Stillc an play on them things in 2018 if ya not in to 100+ fps gaming
Only regreat was not going for 2600k would possibly still own it :D

This... sold mine on, new owner is happily playing recent games on his 60hz screen. Because he's a 'normal person' :)

And indeed, I wonder, had I gone for the 2600k, would it have still been under my desk? Quite possibly. Lesson learned, buy the best of whatever is available in future.

He won’t be responding in this thread for a few weeks. I guarantee that.

Quick favour though, can I ask anyone that is tired of the same circular arguments to utilise the ignore function? It’s really tiresome to read the same back and forth and we don’t want to be suspending people that cross the line during a heated debate.

Thanks :)

May as well stick my nose in. For what it's worth, I'm a mainly a gamer and still going with AMD Ryzen regardless of the competition, would rather stick my money in AMD's pockets.

Wish there was actual info or some subtle hints from people really in the know on how good the X470 can handle RAM, upto now all we know from the leaked Asus X470 Pro manual is they can handle 3466 rated speeds, I want to order the best RAM they can handle now rather than at release time.

Dont know about X470 but X370 seems to be doing fine with fast memory, pic is on 2600/2600X

it was touch and go but I finally ordered a AM4 board! I'm going back to AMD :D

Not decided on a CPU yet...waiting to see reviews of the 2600 but 1600 is very cheap currently...tempted to bite.

Wait! Only a few more days to go. I know it's tempting.

On another note, i'm currently running a R3 1200 @ 3.7ghz. It's not a bad cpu but max's out in most games i'm playing (PUBG, WOW, FarCry 5, Assassins Creed: Origins etc)

Do you think an upgrade to the 1600/2600 would make a substantial difference in gaming? Just trying to justify the spends as I only built my PC in feb :D

Your fps won't be a major increase but the extra cores will make your gameplay smoother, that's one of the things I first noticed.

From our Ryzen memory calculator guru @1usmus
Zen + features (tested on CH6 6001mod)

1) the difference in latency only 3-5ns at a frequency above 3200 (-10ns is only on 3200...strange + does not affect performance in games, just a beautiful number)
2) temperature and processor and VRM increased on a few degrees (not fundamentally)
3) more extreme timings are possible
4) handsome fan with RGB lol
5) the difference between Tctl and Tdie is always 10 degrees (sensemi not working)
6) in BIOS menu is nothing new
7) the boundary of 4.15 Ghz for all cores is present (the system is loaded and at a higher frequency but there is no stability and this is already 1.4 volts)

at the moment the processor is a complete disappointment, either you overclock the memory but do not touch the processor, or you overclock the processor, but use memory for 3200

the only hope is at AGESA 1.0.0.2+

the only good news is that the bios mod with the unlocked XFR 2.0 enhanced + precision boost is fully functional. But no one interferes with the Asus spoil it...
