Ryzen "2" ?

So why did you buy what you consider to be a failure of a chip? I don't understand.

Maybe something is lost in translation here.

You're just trolling?
He considered the FX's to be fail, and didn't buy an FX, he bought an i5.

To be honest, I don't understand how you're actually allowed to post. I can understand fanboys, but nothing you post makes any sense, it's just garbage.

Meh cba with this thread lol.
No ryzen should be paired with a 1080ti at 1080P it hasn't got the balls.

I'm all for an i7 8700K getting higher FPS in CPU bottlenecked scenario, but I don't really believe for one second it's not worth putting a 1080ti with a Ryzen at 1080p. I can total understand at 144HZ it might not always max it out, but I'd never say it wasn't worth it. Perhaps this will change with later GPU's and later games (As the same arguments would have been made for FX's etc)

I run a Vega 64 and a 1700 @ 3.8GHZ at 2560x1080 144hz. I've really had no problem with the performance I'm getting bar DOW 3 in very unit intensive scenarios.

what to hell did i buy ?? Yu consider 2500k a failure ?? WTF Trully best CPU in history of CPUs. Stillc an play on them things in 2018 if ya not in to 100+ fps gaming
Only regreat was not going for 2600k would possibly still own it :D

And here's an 8700K@5GHz with 4000MHz RAM and GTX 1080Ti on the Amiens map. This is pretty much a best case scenario for the Intel chip and yet the framerate is very similar to the 2700X. I know the resolution is at 1440P, but there is a CPU bottleneck here regardless of resolution.

I think you are mistaken. The GPU load is always at 95% from what I have just watched. The 2700 cannot keep it above 80%

Yeah I've still got a 2500K and long championed how good they are even when I was getting told how crap a chip the 2500K was. Just ask Gavin about that :p

It's the fail doser comments. Why did you buy one of those.

I'm not a reviewer
Take my tests with pliers
There is room for much improvement (updated driver, bios etcc ...)
My monitor is not full hd but 1920x1200 16/10 60hz
If this is useful
I'm using windows 7 64 bit (dirty system)
Finally I play bf1, how much time ...
If I can re-test with overclock and ram 3600 cl14

Windows 7 is DX11 and that's not conducive for scaling with cores or getting best from the latest hardware.

lolwut? Even with vega you aren't going to get that 2700 to beat a 8700k in games.
If the 2700 is as powerful as you say it is then the next dx12 GPU's will show this.
Christ you're a broken record aren't you? Are you factoring in the extra cost and risk of delidding the 8700K? I'd take a 2700X over it every day.

You still don't get the low level API thing do you, but how powerful did I say the 2700X was? Good chance that conversation never happened outside of your head.

Some shop at LIDL some shop at better places :)
@jigger you didn't need to say anything. You were implying that the CPU is losing because of nvidia. Fact is even with vega ryzen loses (when not presented with a GPU bottleneck as AMD don't have a card fast enough)

For someone who CBA with this thread you certainly can't stop replying.

It's also a fact that Nvidia drivers aren't efficient at using AMD CPU's, it's been shown multiple times. This is not to say AMD would be quicker than Intel, just that the gap would be much closer without the artificial overhead.

We know you think the 8700k is the second coming, but just consider that for some the 2700X is the better rounded solution and that pure gaming performance isn't the only metric to be considered when buying a CPU.

Well I was showing how stupid people jump to stupid conclusion, but Nvidia don't have DX12 hardware and DX11 can't scale across cores. If it could we wouldn't need DX12.

Bad analogy, I started shopping there 10 years ago after a tip off from one of their area managers that their products were good. The food snobs stayed with the mainstream and got fleeced, note they're all moving over.

Don't get me wrong I love quality food, I buy meat direct from rare breed farmers but I hate getting ripped off. All companies are in it to make $, £, €'s but some will charge you more for the privilege. Corporate types love "value added" i.e. find a reason to charge more for the same item...
